I think I just learned something. Tell me if this is correct, please. In my setup, one circulator and 5 zone valves, the relay is built into the triple aquastat. I always wondered why some people have those taco controllers with multiple lights for multiple zones since I don’t have one and it didn’t seem to be necessary.
But after watching your video and explanation it seems that if you have multiple circulators you need multiple relays, which is why you would need one of those larger taco units. Because those units have multiple relays for the circulating pumps. Is that right? Thanks for this video.

Hello Richard, Taco make two great products. The SR series (Switching Relay). You use this control when you have a circulator pump on each zone. So any pump any zone can work independently from the other.
The other control is the ZCV.(zone control valve) With this gadget there is one pump for multiple zones. Any zone can turn on the pump at any time. If the other zones are not calling for heat then they are closed and water won't circulate on that zone. I have a few videos with the ZCV. I like this products because there is a light when the thermostat calls for heat. Then other light when that end switch activates the pump. So is so easy to troubleshoot because is all visual. No guessing. Good to hear from you again.

Since you have only one circulator the ZCV would be great for you!!! I ll take you step by step. YUOu ll love the lights >. Watch a couple videos I have on that.
