    The correct answer for 19 is B. Every row and column has exactly one white arrow and two black arrows.

      Look at black arrows all black arrows cover each corner round the diamond starting with first arrow on left. The next one white arrow pointing r corner. So what is the last corner with white arrow to cover. D. Go clock wise

    • @Drone256
      @Drone256 Před 2 lety

      @@carolynesimpson6070 That is true but there is nothing to logically conclude there should be a white arrow pointing to all corners of the diamond just as there was for the black arrows. Prior questions on Mensa tests will often have the same number of X on every row and every column. So I'd argue that my answer follows this pattern.

    • @carolynesimpson6070
      @carolynesimpson6070 Před 2 lety

      True. Im looking at it differently. Taking a different angle. Pardon the pun!.... there are 9 Diamonds . Do each angle first on 8 Diamonds Because there are 9 it makes you look at the pattern differently. If only 8 it would easy. Making you think outside the box. In this case the Diamond.

      I think the explanation is wrong also. The first row, second to third goes from horizontal to vertical and changes color. In the second row, first to second, that doesn't happen. Then in the third row he expects a color change?
      The explanation that would lead to B is much simpler; each row has two black arrows. (Same for each column)
      The least complicated solution is usually correct 😊

    The way I worked out no. 19 is...... there are 9 diamonds. If there was 8 it would be easy.....so each black arrow faces a corner/ a point. Throw in one more to confuse you. So each white arrow has to point to a corner FIRST. Think of a clock . 12 noon, quarter past, half past, Quarter too. Do those first!! With white arrows. That’s the way I worked it out . A bit long winded but not when working it out. Lol. SO THE ANSWER IS D. Pointing 12 noon!......
