This is it folks, I decided to lift the curtain and direct compare the offerings of Logitech and Thrustmaster with the Thrustmaster T248 and Logitech G923 all having their highs and lows described, as well as compared to the T150 the T300 and the G29 and G920 force feedback wheels.
Sim racing, casual racing, you just sit in a cardboard box making vroom vroom sounds? All are welcome.
No punches held back, just an honest review to help you decide what force feedback racing wheel set is the right choice for you. Race you to the finish!

if its g923 vs t248, i think the t248 has more pros. better ffb, magnetic sensor on the pedals, the pedals are also well built. not to mention on the fly settings (ffb levels, rotation) with the lcd. but for the price, i think the g29 is still great.
the t248 is in a tough spot lacking swappable wheels. i guess thrustmaster isn't planning to discontinue the t300 anytime soon, or at least they may have plans releasing an update to the t300.

This is such a hard call. Why couldn’t Thrustmaster make the wheel leather then it would have been a done deal. I’m after a wheel and pedals for GT7 and I’m guessing the T248 was designed for the PS5 and future proof. More on the fence than I was now! Ha

Yeah, weird decision. Thrustmaster could've just wrapped the plastic wheel with leather and changed those noisy plastic shift paddles with aluminum then called it a day. Would have been an instant buy over G29 for most beginner driving sim. Its just saving couple of bucks on their end

Based on this comparison video and others I've watched I just pre-ordered the t248 Xbox version. It seems the bottom line is the t248 has better ffb which will make for more enjoyable driving and better gameplay. While there are other pros and cons it's impossible to overlook that one.

I returned my T248 after two weeks. I despised the paddle shifters which I'm surprised you didn't show a recording of. The feel of the wheel was also just not what I expected for $500 CAD. The cheap feeling materials and the pedals lacking a solution for carpet really put me off. FFB felt.. fine, I guess. Not fine enough to make the other cons worth it though.

Thank you for this comparison video, and the most important part of this is the build quality comparison, that a lot of videos (specifically G923 vs T248 comparisons) seem to neglect on talking about it.
You saying that the T248 feeling like a toy compared to the G923 confirmed my suspicions on whether or not the T248 feels great-had suspicions because of how it's built mostly on plastic-and with that, I think I'll go with G923 for my first sim-wheel, I'd rather go for quality build than feedback accuracy because whenever I hold something that feels like a toy, I always worry that I might break it, especially with that kind of peripheral that makes you go full ham on and fight against a powerful motor.
Again, thank you for this, I decide on getting a G923 in the future-or maybe an updated version of it, because it'll take a long time for me to get that amount of money haha.
