that is so true...Sable was fierce and i loved when she crossed over to "Dynasty" their last season, the scenes with her and Alexis were classic! But yea, i agree she deserved to be at the end, especially when Barbra Stanwick left...
One of the best TV themes ever! A pity Stanwyck did not like the show and left. Without her it lost much attraction to me. What I'll never understand is why some idiot put the UFO in the final episode. So that series was doomed definitively to never return. The Colbys had much potential and some really good actors.
my cousin and i really tried to get into this show when it debuted but like most people, the only person we ended up really caring about was Sable lol! I never paid attention to Fallon after Pamela Sue Martin left Dynasty and the character was recast with Emma Samms so Fallon and Jeff's presence on the Colby's didnt do anything for me. Of course we always perked up whenever Dominique appeared on the show (which was a rarity) and Joan Collins decried the show, urging viewers to boycott it.
the theme song sounds interesting although it would have been interesting to hear Danny elfman opening theme score. this sounds something for a live action superman theme
I thought this was better that Dynasty, which was rapidly expiring when this debuted (the two Krystals). But no-one watched this- I read the second season tanked- 72 or something in the ratings.
The made alot of mistakes. They tried to make Sable too much like Alexis, and Bliss was too much like Lucy Ewing on Dallas. A Poor Little Rich Girl. Maxwell Caulfield & Stephanie Beacham both returned to the UK and did Soaps. Stephanie on Coronation Street and Maxwell on Emmerdale. He also did All My Children. Stephanie also did the Prison Drama Bad Girls where she played Phylida "Phyl" Oswin who along with her Best Friend Beverly Tull aka "Bev" went to Jail for doing a Real Estate Ponzi Scheme selling Homes but were really swamp land.
I loved the Colbys! All beautiful, sexy & rich people. Only in the eighties & takes me back to me school days.

Oddly enough there is a video floating on You Tube of the alternative theme to Star Trek: TNG, its almost identical to the Colby's :D
