I've been using these every week live on stage and at home for over a year. Never once had any issues. They work perfectly. No latency, no tone loss. I can walk out the front doors of the auditorium for at least 80 feet with no signal loss. These are great for sound check in unfamiliar places. Just walk out into the house and hear what your rig sounds like, make adjustments if needed etc. Highly recommend the XVive U2.

I was very curious about latency. You say none. That is great. Wireless headphones on a mixing board was too laggy for me. Anyone know a brand/model that works like these are said to?

@@aliphmaximine Battery is good. Easily 4-5 hours. They charge quickly too. Maybe 1 hr if fully discharged. I have forgotten to charge them before a set, and just plugged them into my laptop USB and used a guitar chord for sound check and run through. By the time I was ready for the gig, the Xvive U2 was ready to go. That's about 45-60 minutes of charging from fully discharged.

Good review! I bought this system over a year ago and it works great... I have a small amp set up in my living room and it helps keep the room clutter free. I walk in and pick up my guitar, turn the transmitter, receiver and amp on and I'm ready to go.... Sounds great, simple to use and just makes life easy.... I totally recommend these.....

Got mine yesterday, they were charged right out of the box. Works great if you are playing near the receiver, but latency becomes an issue at 10 meters with a wall. It is still fun at that distance if you are playing alone. If you are trying to play along with a rhythm loop coming from the same room as the receiver, it gets uncomfortable at that distance. In any case, one less cord is great.

I’ve got a pair of these. It works really well on bass as well. Acoustic guitars without mic pickups are good too, but my LR Baggs Anthem fails badly with lots of hum. Still worth it though for the others.

Question - just picked up a pair on GC and trying them out. The units work fine when I plug directly into my amp - but I get nothing when I use my pedal board. My Cry Baby (wah) is the first pedal in the chain - so plugging (receiver) into that pedal and (transmitter) into my guitar. My pedal board has its own power supply - so into wall outlet. I know that my pedal board works since I cabled up first to make sure - and I check all my connections. So, what am I missing here? Thanks for the help.

I'm getting a lot of hiss and I've tried everything from turning off my wifi router, to playing in the dark thinking the lights in the room could be producing interference. The only thing I've done that's helped is turning the gain on my amp (Fender Champion 100) all the way down. I used this unit with everyone else and myself also using wireless IEM, with no issues at all. It's all about the frequencies in use. I don't think the XVive U2 was your problem. I work in a tech arena the depends on frequency matching and avoiding cross over, and know that certain equipment in use or structures can jack frequencies up causing static, signal loss etc. So more than likely it's something else creating your problem, or you had a bad unit. You're the first one I've ever heard a negative experience from. I've seen machinery emit a frequency that caused signal loss, static etc. On time even a frequency in use that set off false alarms on hyper sensitive scanning equipment. The scanner alarm indicated a metal contaminate, that didn't exist. It was radio waves that set it off, not a metallic substance. Too bad you trashed it. You could have sold it, unless it was truly a bad unit.
