Congrats to your nephew! It seems that kids just grow up so fast. It would be so nice if we could remain young forever! I wish for all kids today that they have a healthy, happy, successful and safe life.
FYI - on the cats shedding. They always shed more in the spring time, losing their winter coats. If you brush them, it will help get rid of the winter coat and they'll shed less; and if feels good to them and they like the attention.
