I've always been thinking that they should do a LAAT Gunship that comes with Rex since Cody came with the ATTE walker.
I have a feeling we’ll get a rex minfigure, like you said probably in a set for the summer line up, maybe in something like a new V-Wing, an ARC-170 Or an AT-OT, with 501st troopers, who knows?
I'd argue he shouldn't for 2 reasons; there’s just much Lego needs to do this year with the 40th anniversary of rotj and all the new shows coming out this year and I also want Lego to take time to backtrack on all the bad decisions they’ve made for clones like the lack of waist capes and the new helmet holes.
When are the summer waves usually announced?
Initially I preferred the Cody helmet to Rex, but WOW, LEGO did a brilliant job sculpting this bad boy. Definitely picking up this bad boy.
I think the mouth is way too goofy. It doesn't have it's wide V shape whatsoever, it's just a small triangle here, Cody looks way better and i have both, had to get Rex because Rex lol
I love it when the designers give explanation to inaccuracies in the build. That said I still see a chipmunk and definitely between the two helmets I prefer Cody look but will get both at a discount.
Definitely looks better in person than on the box - this has really tempted me!
Thank you for being able to appreciate and enjoy the set even though it isn't perfect. I get sick of Lego reviewers being so negative when something isn't a 100% spot on perfect.
The helmet looks great, hope this means we will get more adult clone wars sets and more clone wars sets in general

I like that we actually have a quote from the designer explaining an inaccuracy logically and not trying to cover up a stupid mistake they made. I love Captain Rex and will definitely be getting this set.

I do feel like with this set along with the Cody set that Lego is moving in the correct direction with Lego Star Wars and I hope this leads to more clone war era sets and hopefully we get a new Phase 2 Rex Mini Fig and hopefully some remakes or new clone wars sets. A new venator would be nice, gunship, more droid heavy sets like vehicles. Sets where droids out number the clones.

I really like cesar soares work in lego, not just because he's Portuguese like me and have my dream job...but I collecting all helmets and he designed a few of them that I really like not to mention other star wars sets I own...and I guess he did his best with the mouth pieces and I can live with that...overall maybe a 8.5 helmet since I think cody it's a 9.5 and a better accomplishment...will you do cody soon?? Can't wait to see your personal opinion on that one

I never knew that Rex welded his Phase I and Phase II helmets together. That's a cool fact.
If the "mouth" on the helmet was using stickers then it would be easier to get another sticker sheet and put the additional stickers where they should be

1:05 i just bought the helmet and now i realise i have a alternate page of this one, its just the text and no pictures exept from the creative director and the next page is a picture fully on the page but its a very closeup version of the middle one with rex holdin a blaster(almost as if its from a few sec later in the episode)

I think future Clone helmets will look very different as these were based off the animated versions rather than live-action ones.

I wish they would have gone more for the realistic style with the 9 vents, different back of the helmet detail with that "tube" running up flush with that center ridge, and the larger mouth that doesn't look so shrimpy (a problem that also extended to the only phase 2 minifigure that they've made of him). Especially considering the phase 1 commander Cody helmet looks more like the realistic shaping of the phase 1 than the animated with the more rounded bottom rim that stands taller.
I dunno, again the random flip flopping between animated and realistic designs that both Lego and especially Hasbro like to do with their collectors' lines has been getting more and more baffling lately.

So I started building this today, I don’t know if anyone has had issues with it, but I swear my instructions do not have the steps to build the left side of his head where the scouter is.

I was wondering how easy it would be to modify this set into other phase 2 clone helmets.
Can you just remove the stickers and replace the blue with any other color or would that not work?
It really wouldn’t be easy considering Rex’s helmet is a Phase 2 helmet with a Phase 1 visor. You’d have to remove the visor and come up with a regular Phase 2 visor in order to get a regular Phase 2 helmet.
I’m almost done it, but the only shitty part was that they were missing piece to the mouthpiece on the left-hand side. I was pretty disappointed and I looked in my bags and there was no bags of first time ever Leo has ever had a missing piece.

i recently got one and for some reason the back of the helment is not conected you can see a yellow and black stud do you know what i did rong
Rex's helmet is a hybrid of the two different phases of the clone helmets. So I wouldn't be the only one interested in a video showing how to rebuild Rex's helmet into a standard phase II helmet. You could even build your own clone helmet with additional colored bricks!
i really am scared to see how over printed the minifig captain rex is gonna be but im still gonna do whatever it takes to pick it up
But it's the wrong blue colur. There darker blue in the lego colour inventory would have fit much better.
