Idk when I was on the road in Kentucky, I met some confederates. Thought because I was brown I'd have problems with them, but they turned out to be some of the nicest people I've ever met. It was Christmas. They made some amazing breakfast. They shared presents. I had quite a big collection of various gems and shiny rocks and trinkets which I gave their kids. We hung out in the living room. Gave me a place to stay for the night, Then gave me a lift to where I was trying to get to in the morning. They were probably some of the most engaging people I've met, which brought me out of my normally typical introverted social behaviors. They still are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Way nicer then the drug addicts of Kansas, and ironically way nicer then uppity urban rich better then yous, to whom I love mocking.

Second it is not taking away freedom of speech if someone says that that off, by flying the confederate flag you a disrespecting African Americans ancestors. As much as I don't like that flag. It is free speech. That said there is something to be said for this. When the place in question is a place one is required to be. Line gets less clear. My god times haves changed... back when I was in high school (2008) we had something called common sense. Our student handbook prohibited wearing tank tops, sleeveless shirts, see through shirts, and any piece of clothing that could carry message that could create a hostile environment ( ex. Nazi flag, Isis flag, confederate flag). We didn't need a book to specifically tell us what is "hostile".....common sense, they don't teach that anymore, at home or school?
