    Great vid, golden info as usual! Love my z-seat, its a tray, a seat, a butt/foot warmer in the hammy.... love it. I needed a knee brace, picked up a basic compression guy in Front Royal, gonna see about a copper fit. Contacts were my go to, but in the past year they bothered me so i tried hiking with transition lenses in my glasses. I like not dealing with contacts or sunglasses, but the rain/foggy days are a little annoying. My sawyer o-ring always winds up sticking to the top of the smart bottle, so i carry an extra (thanks to ur suggestion in a previous vid). Gonna try that balm when I get back on next week, my feet cracked bad after I did 13 in the rain. Day 2 my sani bottle cap magically ejected and ran dry. Snagged a new one at a view point from a wonderful day hiker. Aleve huh? May try that if the knee flares up. This past week from Harper's Ferry to right before Mary's Rock, I didn't need to dig even one cat hole. Still not ditching the trowel!! GETTING THE BALL, ordering it right now!! Like I said GOLDEN INFO, thanks man!!!

    Big fan of Aleve, been using it for years for any muscular aches or cramps. IMHO much more effective than Ibuprofen.

  • @mikestanford6418
    @mikestanford6418 Před 4 lety

    Be mindful of your aleve and Ibuprofin intake even now being off the trail. Prolonged usage to assist with that nagging knee issue can lead to NSAID induced colitis. And thus your bodies inability to process the NSAIDs without having moderate to severe gastrointestinal issues every time you take it. Love the final video and rapping up your AT thru hike!!! Keep up the amazing videos. Always fun to watch👍

    • @mikestanford6418
      @mikestanford6418 Před 4 lety

      It works that’s for sure! Almost too good, that’s how people fall into the gastro issues because it is such a good anti inflammatory pain reliever. Hopefully you are on the mend to getting those knees back in action!

  • @jeremylayton7006

    Just switched to the folding style poles. Finding that in practice they are more limiting than telescopic poles. The limited adjustability prevents using them for my mountain smith sling back chairs. Though I do not own a trekking pole tent set up, they likely suffer the same way there. Anyone run into that?

    • @FrozensAdventures
      @FrozensAdventures  Před 3 lety +1

      Leki (and probably black diamond) have adjustable length folding poles. I usually go for those. But the simplicity of telescopic poles are winning for me.

    Hey Frozen, I'm curious about the LiteAF products and how they compare with Zpacks. It seems like they make pretty similar kinds of things. You seem to prefer the LiteAF items and I wonder if you can comment on the differences between the brands?

    • @FrozensAdventures
      @FrozensAdventures  Před 4 lety +1

      Both are great brands. I enjoyed the comfort of the liteaf backpack more than something like the Nero. Chris the owner does a very good job at sewing and uses some extra quality things like snaps and just little higher quality pieces to make it last.
