I tried these and they definitely do whiten your teeth but they completely rubbed up half of the enamel on my front 4 teeth so now I’m stuck with teeth that basically look translucent and dark on the bottom part of the teeth as they have no natural colour of enamel to them

They do not remove enamel. They hurt because they clean the plugs in your teeth. Teeth have many many tiny holes that tunnel all the way down to your nerves. Cleaning the plugs allows air to get down to your nerve. The sensitivity is only temporary, use toothpaste like Sensodyne to re-plug the holes.
If you already had sensitive teeth, it's not recommended as it contains hydrogen peroxide which is acidic

I tried these and they definitely do whiten your teeth but they completely rubbed up half of the enamel on my front 4 teeth so now I’m stuck with teeth that basically look translucent and dark on the bottom part of the teeth as they have no natural colour of enamel to them
Did you leave them on past 20-30 minutes? They have a sensitive version.
They don't remove enamel. You either left them on too long, or brushed too soon after removing them and brushed your enamel off yourself.
