Hannibal strategies are still taught in military academies around the world. Like West Point academy in America and in Europe
Hannibal was so close winning the war but sadly was betrayed by mercanries he recruited. 😢
What? 🤔...In beginning of greatness and to then differ in the realities of combat seems to be a successful outcome for the most part because that was a defeat of affairs of which the betrayal was of one left behind and not going forward to the sure already established victory...
Also bureaucratic gridlock at home and corruption in their senate hurt him alot. His brother never got the senate approval or at least only got it a bit too to resupply him with more manpower as they were getting decimated.
Hannibal defeated Rome.
@@d_no44 Hannibal was the prime example of winning the battle but losing the war. Rome won the 2nd Punic War, and there is no two-ways about it.
Lessons learned: you can't trust mercenaries. Had this epic betrayal not happened and Hannibal not suffered I'll health and blindness, he would have defeated the Roman Empire. Considering he kicked their rear ends coming from all the way in Africa and losing half of his original trusted men, he almost took down the Roman Empire. Imagine that!
Fell in love with Hannibal. Much admiration for him.
Great documentary, a part two is definitely in order👍🏽
Keep up the good work. Yes, please do a part two.
Definitely the Best. He is still talked about and admired as a great military leader. ❤🤎🖤✊🏾💪🏽
OMG!!Another Hanibal no is BLACK lesrn real history no stupidities lol😂😂😂
@@LacteagalaxiaOMG,another ignant,and remedial like you
@Lacteagalaxia
Please show your research to prove he was not an African/black.
@@carolynbrown6093 What like all the Carthaginian evidence, litterature, statues, the fact that they were phonecian semetic colony?
All western generals studied this man a black man they claimed he was white 😂 man I love this I never knew he was a brother I always thought he was not black like me this make s me happy
Whenever you hear something regarding history out of northern Africa, you know it was black history!
Great people don't mint coin of themselves to look like an ugly black Africa man, no. He was a proud of his looks and heritage even if to modern folks he looked ugly on the coin.

lmfao. he wasnt black, try again.
They actually admitted he was black that’s something new 😮
This was beautifully thoughtfully, respectfully done! Thank you. ❤
Part 2 is a must do!!!
Well I found that incredably moving, cant help thinking what if... what if!
Yes more please!
Indeed a Part Two. Yes.
Another enjoyable and educational presentation! Keep them coming! ✊🏿
What a great documentary , thank you for making it. Please make a part 2
There is some protest regarding the physical attributes of the actor (Denzel Washington) in the new Hannibal movie. Maybe the protesters wanted an actor with long straight hair.
If he had won, history would have been different for centuries in Europe
Definitely!
Every video is well versed and spreading truth is alot harder than repeating the lies.
Great documentary, I've already listened to this twice since its release. Please do make a part 2.
This year we will witness Denzel Washington in Gladiator 2 be Hannibal.
Yep even Hollywood knows Hannibal was black. Check out Gladiator 1, Carthaginians are featured in the battle at the Roman Colloseum as Roman legionaires or mercenary soldiers. This only means one thing- the importance of Africans in the Roman empire.
Yeah, and now the only people who are still trying to claim north africa as theirs is the arabs. They continue to forget that they are "Johnny come lately" on the scene of north africa. Smh
Not Hannibal, someone else
@@myjourney5753 Oh it's hannibal!
@@nob.s.top5comparablesb370 he wasn't stop it
This is like the best game of Chess I have ever witnessed!
I am loving this!
What's really scary is some of these African people back then were as tall as 9 to 13 ft. These guys were massive, this was normal genetics in ancient times. The Sudanese, Kenyans, Yemenis in modern times are 8 to 10ft tall as well.
So this who King David was fighting as a kid 😦😮
they looked like Bombata (Wilt Chamberlain) from Conan the Destroyer
Fantastic video!!!! ^_^ So much to learn. Its much appreciated.
Hannibal 🔥👑
I've heard the name before but I not aware of his background but I am so thankful that you put this on you tube. This is a very important part of history I wouldn't have wanted to be completely ignorant of him and his life story and if there is more about him and there is please do part 2.
The A-Team.
Please continue with the updates on thus history. There are many truths to learn from your presentation
Thanks

I am the one who is grateful 🙏🏽
Please make a part two. Excellent Doc. I Really Enjoyed it.
Truly a great informative piece. A part two would be greatly appreciated. The facts regarding this documentary are outstanding. They gave a greater prospective regarding "Hannibal" the person and the person(s) who aided in his defeat.
Greatly appreciate this comment…
How did he get the elephants through the alps?
Yes please part 2❤
I truly enjoyed this documentary and would like to see a part two.
And which y haplogroup (representing the Phoenicians) was in Spain in 1100 BC? Haplogroup E. I'm telling yall, hanniball belonged to this Y-Dna. My best bet.
Actually, haplogroup J (both J1 and J2) is the most common among the Phoenicians.
@@Meirstein I'm not speaking about the haplogroup that has been most commonly found in Phoenicians. I'm speaking about the *original haplogroup* of the Phoenicians, which in my opinion, i believe to be Haplogroup E.
Excellent video!
Yes I would love to see a P2 of this series thank you.
21:14 this guy looks like he's having big fun
Definitely, I would love to see part 2!❤
Yes we want part 2 of Hannibal. Very interesting black History.
Hannibal was neither a Black African nor a White European.
Whether his ancestry was North African or Phoenician, he resembled people who lived (and live) on the shores of the Mediterranean more than he resembled anyone else. The racial classifications invented by 19th century Europeans have little to do with reality.
It's unfortunate that history doesn't refer to this humane, brave military genius as Hannibal the Great, but instead celebrates a murderous monster like Alexander the Greek.
Alexander spread greek culture across the world, founded countless of cities based upon greek Culture, laid the foundation for the Hellenistic age. What did Hannibal achieve again?
I enjoyed this documentary. Thank you for showing, with receipts, who the real Hannibal was not even Napoleon dont measure up nor Alexander. Even General Dumas, another great black general and Napoleon competitor, of France was better than Napoleon.
Superb and underrated comment
So was Toussaint.
@@joeparrigen4982 And yet Hannibal, Dumas, and Toussaint, and the Maroons have not been given their proper credits in the history books. All the West wants to do is make movies that glorify the Roman Empire and it's generals but Hannibal beat them repeatedly in their own backyards using gorilla warfare and Sun Tzu military strategies to conquer Rome. Even Napoleon was no match for the Haiti general; the Brits were no match for the Jamaican Maroons using the same gurella warfare and other military tactics to beat the Brits mindless straight line open formations.lol Not even the Americans could beat Vietnam using the same guerrilla warfare military tactics of Hannibal, Maroons, and Toussaint.
Thanks for this version of Hannibal. I didn't know he had a straight undefeated path to Rome.
Hannibal Barka the greatest aboriginal general that ever walk this earth 💯💪🏿💪🏿
Yep
He wasn't an aboriginal. He was an Afrikan, a black Africoid man. Let loose those european terms.
@@HenryHansack that's a bit rich when you are calling Hannibal black and a African you really need to do your research Henry.
@glennjoseph33 I've done mines, you should do yours glenn.
The Carthaginians weren't even aboriginals. Carthage was a colony of Tyre.
Hannibal was a black African. I'm betting that his y chromosome belonged to Haplogroup E.
I believe Hannibal was a black African but this complexion was either a brown or Lightskin complexion African .
@@TyroneGladden Black Africans are usually brown, tyrone. So, I wouldn't be surprised.
@@TyroneGladden They're usually brown, so, I wouldn't be surprised.
Hanibal black with Napoleón lol ;OMG ; África no is 100% black race continent specially in North is a básic in etnography
@@Benito-lr8mz I don't understand what you're trying to say?
Thankyou so much for this beautiful presentation of African intellect , and dominance.❤
Hannibal destroyed his army by traveling so far over the mountains most of his soldiers died from weather sickness and exhaustion he pushed his men to hard but still a great general

A very good historical video.
Hannibal after defeating yet another army had Rome at his mercy and decided not to take it, paid the price years later. Years after his loss at Zama, Macedonia gave him command of a fleet (an army general playing the role of admiral) against Rome and Hannibal lost, which was the last time he commanded a fighting force.
Simply the Best ....awaiting Part 2

The white washing of black history has been prevalent in Hollywood for years now, so you don't have to wait as its already been done.
Awesome please make part 2

Yes please do part 2.
Amazing Brotha & yes, please do make a part #2 of this documentary. Also, what is the music playing in the background at 28:15? Who is the artist and what is the song called??
How was Rome, in her moment of defeat , able to organise and send an invading force across the Mediterranean against Carthage itself with Carthage and his men sitting in Italy, waiting for supplies from Hanno? We need more information about the role of Hanno in the post-Cannae period of this war, which is the period hetween the battle of Cannae and the battle of Zama. Part 2 of this paper is keenly awaited by scholars of ancient African history.
error : Hannibal (not Carthage).
Part II, please!
Wow, what a man make a 2
Why has Hollywood not made a big budget film about Hannibal?
You must be joking, the answer is obvious.
Far Out Cuz! I had no idea! See how they twist history for their own stupid benefit? Any film or narrative of Carthage depicts them as Caucasian? Great work bro!
I think if Hannibal would have continued on and sacked Rome he would have changed the landscape of Rome and its rule in more ways than he could have ever imagined.
The paradigm’s of the reality of what Italy looks like today? Would have been unrecognizably altered.
Need a part two. That was a bad man

Carthage Immortalized ❤ Carthage today is Tunisia, and the ruins still exist. 🇹🇳
Yes.
Read the book Great Black Leaders of Ancient & Modern History by Ivan Van Sertima. The chapter on Hannibal is one of the best I've read. Hannibal is not the Greatest Black General, that title goes to Menkheperah Tihudimes falsely called Thutmose 3, but Hannibal is one of my favorite. He bought the battle to evil Rome. And how ironic, ancient Rome fell due to in fighting and internal conflicts. Leave whites to run themselves and they will eventually destroy themselves. RIP Hannibal and his elephants. A true African warrior.
Are you sure those Romans were white?
@@verdeoaks6159 Rome, like many ancient civilizations back then was a mixed population, mostly made up of White Europeans, and other ethnic groups.
@@Kush333 from my understanding the later part of Rome in ancient times became “lighter”.
It would have been a good idea for you to get a picture of his sheal
Part two please.
Yes part 2
Part 2!!!
Question- How do we know that Hannibal admired Alexander the Great? And YES, please make a Part 2 ✊🏽💥
There is a story about Hannibal and Scipio meeting after the end of the war in the court of a foreign king. Scipio asked Hannibal who he thought the three best generals in history were, and Hannibal said that number 1 was Alexander, number 2 was Pyrrhus of Epirus, and number 3 was himself. This story is in the video at 42:50
Before this video e I was not convinced that alexander ever existed in the first place… I now have to do more research… I really want to know why Hannibal didn’t sack Rome… clearly he is brave so I don’t question his courage
He spent 13 years in Italy and never once laid siege to Rome despite destroying Roman army after Roman army🧐
Christianity was formed. Time goes on.
Please mark a pt 2
The strategies that he used - where were they from?
