I basically said watch Badge Plug said on a Lelegenkai video. A lot of us in the 2K community don't really understand how massive this community really is. The people you see on Reddit, Twitter, CZcams, Tiktok is a very very very small part of the pie, there so many people who just play 2K just to play. We can sit here online and cry the game is dead and nobody is playing all day until we're blue in the face but that doesn't make it true lol. These lobbies are always full no matter what time of day it is.
Lies, I play on Xbox and nobody that use to play with me plays and the city be empty.. I played 23 and it was more people playing on that..

@@biggucci1652that can be if you have many people at the same position in your lineup and don’t have a full squad. If you have a full five you get games frequently. If you in random rec you get games frequently unless you got that black plate then typically it’s a tell that you’re a bad teammate or on a new build and either way people will back out to avoid playing with you.
My thing is they're so greedy that they don't realize that they'd prob make more money if it was $20 to make a new build instead of like $100. You'd have mfs with 10 builds if it was cheaper to upgrade builds.
The greedy always end up making stupid decisions.
Honestly 2k is dead from a casual standpoint I have over 75 friends I’ve made from playing 2k and not a single one plays 2k24 because honestly nun of us like it we all agreed this is our last 2k. On top of that in 2k24 you can’t be a casual and think you’re going to make friends on the game most of the 2k community considers themselves comp and the game is their life they take it way too serious, more serious than what 2k takes their own game🤦🏾♂️

Remember back around 2K19 Troydan did that video about "2K online" and it was a Chinese version of NBA2K with something like 40 million users? I think 2K knows they need the US market, but I think they have plans for growing outside the US. Really gives perspective on how small the YT/Twitter community really is.
Yes I believe that 2k24 is really dead. I rarely play park anymore because it’s always the same thing over and over. You see more people going back to 2k23 because of the inconsistency every update. One update and your build is shooting so consistently, the next update comes and then you’re missing every shot with the exact same jump shot from the previous update. Something else that’s crazy is that I’ve seen some of the biggest CZcamsrs not upload 2K in so long because what’s the point of the game gets worse and worse every season
The game being dead would mean that you load into empty parks. If you played next gen 21 or 22 there were actually empty parks. This game is far from dead. You not enjoying the game doesn’t mean the game is dead yall just have a self centered mindset.
I’m not saying you’re wrong but didn’t 2k tutes make a video showing that shooting is the same from season to season? Apart from at the start of 24 when shooting went from being really hard to really easy. And why don’t the comp pro am players I watch ever complain that shooting is inconsistent? Theater killed park
Absolute facts why would I wait for a game for half an hr after losing when I can just queue right back up and get back to playing as soon as I'm ready.

@@webackup No disagreement there they have to implement some kind of matchmaking where it matches you up with ppl around your medal (brown, silver, gold etc).
Park and the city concept are ass. Theater allows people who like playing more than 3 games an hour to actually get games in. Park is delayed more than any other gamemode, the background noise is unbearable and cant be turned off even in the main menu sound settings, and its way to big. 2k should prioritize adding more game modes/player voted game modes to the theater over adding useless cosmetics to the game that make it lag and feel delayed. 2k will never be able to revert to the old mypark style because people will duck anyone with a rank higher than them and people are done waiting for games. Park could be good if it was executed correctly not that bullshit they have now.

My issue is with the community. Although micro transactions is an issue I think it’s mostly the community ruining the game. We can’t agree on anything and mindlessly criticize the game then get mad when 2k changes the game based on those criticisms. The same dudes that make 3 point shot hunters and drop eggs and shoot 20% that think the game is dead cause they can’t hit every 3 and aren’t dynamic enough to find other ways to score.

I quit playing the game myself because of what you do your workouts when you hit all four stars on everyone and they don’t give you your Gatorade when you’re all that time working out ever since this update. I think I haven’t touched the game about a week now.

2k24 is just terrible. the Defense is bad this year , perimeter defense don’t matter , acceleration don’t matter, dribbling sucks all you need is a 85 ball handle, Its a bunch more wrong with the game. I only play to get my money worth but 2k25 is definitely not being bought when it drops I’ll wait
I been saying for years... they need a ".5" system for gatorade and boost. No reason why you can play a 30 min rec game and use the same amount of boost and gatorade with a 5-8 minute park game

I recently went back to playing the game after quitting during season 2, and I was quickly reminded why I deleted the game after 2 months. Constant lag in the rec center, inconsistent shooting performances where I shoot 80% one game and 30% the following game. I wanted to play All-Star team up just to find out that it's impossible to play with your friends on current gen, and that feature is only available for last gen. The removal of the auction house and locking the best players behind packs when they spent the half the year putting these players on the player market. This may not be controversial to say, but I believe 2k24 is the worst game of the franchise since 2k18... shi it might even be worse imo.

The reason why there are missed calls and bad calls in the game is because of the challenge system in my career mode. To be honest with you they really need to find a way to eliminate that from the rec game mode and also the flagrant fouls need to go.
We want to see them fail at this point. If they burn it all down, maybe we'll finally get a product with some integrity.

Can't even play rec like we did on old gen me and my homie always get matched up with 3 dudes that squaded up and they don't like to pass the ball because they think they're better or just toxic af and want to keep their averages that shii really killing the vibe
We just need a compete against 2K, but the chances of that happening is very slim to none we had one chance with EA but got stopped due to Adam Silver asking them not to release their game free to play because they know it. Her 2K sales is sad to see that this one company has so much that they can dominate the field where no one else has a chance to create anything
I usually put many many hours into 2k. I still have over 250 hours but most of that was in the first 2 szns

For me, at the moment, it is not dead. Although I stopped playing a while ago (Rec Warrior), I returned to Pro-Am 3v3 with my friends (for a change) & I'm enjoying it. We are having fun. Thats the point!

You can play park without boosts. One of my builds only has a 70 3 ball, and after figuring out my jumper shooting trash on the 1s and 2s, I'm shooting 100% on the 3s courts, all without boosts. It might only be on 4 shots, but shooters can hit without boosts. Get you some park in, bro 💪

The problem isn’t the amount of VC you get per game. It actually kinda evens out as far as time played. The issue is that a 5-8 min park game consumes the same amount of boosts as a 25-30 min rec game. They could go either way with that though. They could say every 3 park games consumes one boost, or they could say every Rec game consumes 3 boosts. We all know 2k so careful what we wish for

When it comes to them badges it makes no sense to upgrade a player to 99 that isn’t going to benefit from it especially if its not upgrading badge points. Read your players. We got 92 overalls fully badged out killing 99s. Just read your player

2k not dead the community killing this game. Yes does 2k24 have micro transactions issue yes. But people saying jumpshot inconsistencies and blah blah blah are the reason I left comes down to a skill issue. A major fun aspect that I think most can agree on is dribbling and 2k going more sim definitely killed a major part of that community. But I enjoy 2k24 for the most part even with its flaws

This question is really beat to death and it’s just simply not true. People complain and still play. I have not had issues getting rec/pro am games at all.
I started playing 2k24 when it appeared on gamepass..it’s ironic that this game is an annual release when it plays like a mobile MMO..people make builds for either pve(my career) or pvp(park, rec , etc.) or both..high level pvp usually has a meta inspired by min-maxing and specific roles to be successful..if anything this game should either become free to play or just have an annual update..they release animations every season and some content on the season pass so what’s the point of buying a new game if the only change is an updated roster and a slight change to gameplay?..

Brute - I play 2k when I’m bored of my other games. 2K just isn’t doing it for me but it’s plenty of fish in the sea for them to catch.
Also - the mobile game is fun with a controller - I played a couple years back when my console was down. 2k isn’t hurting!

2k has mostly decided to move past their hardcore fanbase, like most business do when expand heavily. The hardcore fanbase is used to build their perception and brand and then when other corporations get involved they can’t listen to the minority anymore when casual fanbase is where the revenue is at.

I just started playing after getting it free on gamepass. Been lit so far, i agree with enjoying the gameplay, especially like having to green a shot to go in. Adds a bit of a skill gap, and actually having to practice to learn to shoot. To me the game is real fun just hate vc greed and how long it takes to grind ur player. Then also on play now player control hate how people always quit games. Dnt know the solution as if hate for players with a bad connection to get punished but its really annoying playing against someone then quit when they miss their first shot having me to gaurd and play against an ai for the rest of the game. Im casual but lately id say im become more of a hardcore 2k gamer lol. Im addicted to 2k not gonna lie
This is why I believe there should be a JV rec and all other game modes or something to separate. I'm happy to dunk and drain threes on Timmy who loves KD and the NBA but not on my team. Idk.... this game is beginning to have shades of COD as it relates to the target audience.

It use to be that game that you Had to get, now it’s a game that you just get because you like basketball kinda like with madden.
I barely play the game because I just don't have fun on it. And I don't even have a skateboard yet. I play on pro difficulty and I can't even have fun for more than a game. I have a 80 overall. I just can't do shit really or find a jump shot I can hit. I'm a offensive threat but shoots horrible on pro difficulty. I want to get into the park but what so special about grinding to level 40 for a mech suite I will never use. I go between the MyCareer games and the practice gym. I don't use the city at all. I tried to get mamba mentality but gave up a long time ago. I can't beat the 3v3 or get the other one from lethal shooter so I gave up. And then they games piss me off cause Kyrie on pro difficulty it feels like I'm playing Hof defence.
I honestly dont have the money or time to play 2k. Mycareer used to be fun but stopped playing tgat due to microtransactions. MyEras is the only thing i play but it sucks not too download custom teams because i didn't sign the TOS
I wouldn't say its dead but lose people interest. Nothing on there to grind for. People using cheating devices and we getting the shit end for it. Jump shot inconsistent when playing a build made for shooting. I'm glad I made a rim protector that is 6'9 because I benefit for getting boards and blocks for my team as well as playing a important role with space for the team.

Honestly, 2k being dead has a lot to do with how much game you get for your money. I have this weird cycle with games. Generally I play Madden from August to March....I go to game stop buy a used version of 2k for like $14.99 in March I already know Im gonna buy VC to max my build. For me the community is live I got a crew I run with we have fun and we love it. My guy Brut be on the scene wicked and mean. I always know whats going on in the community. So for me its not dead its just being born lol

Not dead, people just need to play the game if they are having fun playing it. If not, let it be. The game and Visual Concepts as a company have evolved over the years. They just went in a different direction to cater to the new generation of gamers.
