    We just done the off-road track yesterday as the winds were blowing the tides into land. Would love to try the beach drive some day

      We were suppose to do this drive a few days before and the wind was too high and the same as what you experienced.
      Yesterday were were at Noosa and the winds were so bad we ended up coming home to Brisbane.... so understand why you didn't get through.
      The drive was just lovely on the day we went and I'll be releasing another video soon coming from the other direction from Noosa.
      I hope you get to do it some day...it's really worth it. And hope mudlo is a good condition too 👍👍

    hiya Chris! cool work in the edit with the mini 4x4 showing the path...i bet it took just a few minutes to put that together. :P looked like a great spot for a Polaris (or similar). cheers!

      I had to look up the polaris and OMG do they look like so much fun. Not sure they have the high clearance for this area but I could think of so many other spots to take them too....They remind me of a vehicle we drove in Mexico...Hang on, I have a video on that too and will link it .

    • @AquariusTraveller
      @AquariusTraveller  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, the little 4x4 path thing was a new feature and only just found the program. Google only travels roads and needed something a little flexible depending what I was doing. It actually only took about 10 mins to put together...Probably took more time getting a photo of Matts car, turning into a PNG without a background and adding it to the program...LOL

    What an adventurous day 😍 driving on the beach is still pretty unfamiliar to us, so it is very interesting to see the different obstacles to be aware of.
    I can't believe people drive through the waves, I was nervous watching the vehicles when they were driving around the logs 🫣

      It's a very different video that I normally post...but I had such a great day and loved putting this episode together.
      Seeing the people driving through the water was very nerve racking. I was going to put a bunch of photos together showing the dangers and how many people have lost their cars... you do have to be smart and check the terrain first.
      I love the coloured sand cliffs...it's such a top area for sure

      @@AquariusTraveller we really did enjoy it 😁 expanding the content you create can be a bit scary but also rewarding.
      I would imagine putting together information about the dangers could be very helpful to visitors....and potentially prevent more cars from being taken into the sea.

      @@Explorcation most of the dangers come from stupidity ... I should have taken a photo of the wall of shame

    I'm trying to figure out why your wheels were spinning backwards 🤭
    Excellent video. It IS such a beautiful part of Queensland and your presentation showed it at its best. Loved the animated map of your driving route 👏👏
    There were certainly a couple of challenging sections!
    All the best Chris and Matt 🙏🤠

      Thanks for the comment and you right....I couldn't have picked a better spot to feature a 4x4 video of Queensland.... such a beautiful area.
      I've been looking for a program for ages to do the touring map... and I can customise it in many different ways.... did you see it's actually a real photo of Matt's car ?

    Can you take a camper trailer??

    • @AquariusTraveller
      @AquariusTraveller  Před 11 měsíci

      Not sure anyone is getting through rainbow end at all right now due to the debris but I suppose it would depend in the conditions at the time you want to go....these change on a daily basis.
      I'm guessing you want the trailer for the camping sites then your probably better going to Noosa end and accessing that way ... although, I'm not sure whether the camping areas have trailer sites or just tent.

    • @AquariusTraveller
      @AquariusTraveller  Před 11 měsíci

      Not seen too many trailers at double Island though...I would drop it at the camping sites then go to the lagoon at Double Island.
      Plenty of cars get stuck at mudlo, so I'm sure it would be harder with a trailer. On the other hand, if the rocks are covered by sand you could probably get through that section ok...but will also depend on the rest of the beach.
      Iceman has just been reporting in the last week that it's a no go for anyone
