Thistledown Oracle Flip Through

The Thistledown Deck by @three_trees_tarot and @adamoehlers is a gorgeous, nature based oracle deck inspired by the English countryside. It is a beautiful companion to the Oak, Ash and Thorn and Smoke, Ash and Ember Tarot decks. I love everything that Stephanie Burrows and Adam Oehlers create together, their respective writing and art styles compliment each other beautifully. I was so excited when I heard that this deck was in the works, I adore the aesthetic and feel of this series of decks.
The deck is made up of 50 oracle cards plus a thank you card, extra art card (exclusive to the first printing) and reference cards. The cards measure 70mm x 110mm (roughly 2.75 x 4.33 inches) and are borderless with rounded corners. The cards are printed in the UK, on eco-friendly, 400gsm FSC accredited carbon balanced paper using veggie inks. They are finished with a matte, anti-scuff laminate. The deck comes in a beautiful embossed 350 gsm tuck box that features the same card stock color of the Oak, Ash and Thorn box paired with ink that reflects the colour of the Smoke, Ash and Ember box. I am not usually a fan of tuck boxes but I make an exception for the boxes in this deck lineup, as they are both gorgeous and durable. Each deck includes a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Stephanie and Adam gave a heads up that there is a jumping spider in the deck, which is kind for anyone who deals with arachnophobia! That being said the spider on the Curiosity card is very gentle and accessible, but as someone who is working through a snake phobia and can respect how difficult phobias can be I felt it was important to mention.
The card backs feature a sweet fox sleeping amongst a bed of thistles. The tones of the card backs (and deck in general) brings to mid Autumn in the woods and I love it so much. The deck includes double sided reference cards, with keywords and meanings for each of the cards. There is no physical guidebook, however an accompanying PDF guidebook is emailed automatically when you purchase the deck.
