Never would have realized how much of this is manual.
Most aren't... But the expensive ones are
But not the cheap ones you get on dollar store.
They are fully automated, barely checked and not good quality or sophisticated like this.
These are very costly and used by very professional and expensive artists.
Check out the making of series 7 brushes. 9 masters past down the craft
No wonder they're so expensive.
with human woman hair 😳
Anyone else appreciate this guy narrating How It's Made and nobody else?
ya
Ya..
Other people do, it changes based on where it was released and some channels have different narrators.

@@ToeDontKnow
That's interesting
Well that explains why my watercolor brushes cost so much.
Hah
Yeah I just get synthetic wolf hair. Cheap but enduring. Been using then since 2017
I have custom handmade brushes crafted from the pubes of Mussolini.
Happy little paint brushes...
12 yr old acc tho
more like bobross!!!! :)
Trekell are excellent brushes and reasonably priced. It’s nice to see how they’re made.
Beautiful! This video just reminded me of my high school years. I grew up watching this everyday!
3:17 smiles on my face
I would really love to see the process for average cheap brushes
It’s the same, just cheaper materials and more than likely less or non existent quality control
It may be the complete opposite, get a bunch of random hairs, put it in the metal tube, cut it and glue it to the stick, just judging off the really cheap ones made in china
@@Lacroix999 that´s it, quality is the key and cheap ones are not handmade
@@plentyoflife I’m sure they are hand made, just probably done so in China
I always wondered about this. What a long process, Thank you.
Never knew even how paintbrushes were made are so mesmerizing
Fascinating. No wonder good brushes are expensive, that’s a labour intensive process.
I love this process. wow, good quality red sable hair brushes are always my favorite.
Well now if my brushes ever lose their shape, I know how to fix it.
Me too
And I.
you can use glue with water too, it works well.
@@enin6001 thank you. I shall try it.
I've been wanting to make my own brushes. At least to some extent, maybe not all the time, but for special occasions and needs.
Yeah, that's what brought me here too. Any luck with it?
I wanna do that too. I had really good hair back in 2012 and still have some locks saved. Would love to turn it into brushes just for the memories.
Imagine how much patience you need. Man, I wouldn't last half an hour.
Wouldn’t last a half hour..... with the ladies ;)
Ok guys new tip to make ur brush right again starch n water
This show makes me fall asleep so easily i love it. It's so relaxing and satisfying.
So intricate.. so amazing. So much manual effort is put in
*has been using the same 8 dollar pack of synthetic brushes for 3 years*
For watercolor?
Parden ive used the same brushes for watercolour, acrylic and oil i really Do Not Care
@@garfieldmethodactor8614 same though
Man, I like getting fresh brushes, and I trim the stray hairs in the old ones to try and maintain it's shape. But they loose their spring so eventually to have that feedback from the paint and canvas they need to be replaced. Hell, in Asia they have a big ceremony every year to destroy the last year's brushes, and they get a bunch of new ones.
@@garfieldmethodactor8614 ohh same heree
Thought it was all machine made...thanks for enlightening me... I will now take proper care of my brushes!!!
As a artist....i am learning more and more
This paint brushes looking beautiful .
If only when I was at school someone had told me about this as a potential job…. How do people end up in work like this?
Now I know how it’s made you should do how pencils are made next
😍😍😍 idk why i kept watching this, it's very interesting
and thats why red sable brushes cost a fortune. i know a lot of miniature painters (like the ppl that paint warhammer, dungeons and dragon and busts) that adore sable brushes but the price is nuts for a single brush. lots of companies make them but it comes down to how it handles and how you like your bristles spring etc.
This has always been my favorite how its made narrator
This work needs a lot patience
Salute to the makers
The brush’s is very nice
Wow that much hard work thankyou paintbrush makers😊
Beautiful process
Ingenious!
When you use your fingers to paint 😂
(Edit: okay by fingers I mean paining digitally without a pen lol )

Nice brushes
Thank you for this manual
This shows why these are expensive
It's phenomenal
Its really amazing!
wow so good to know this. Thanks friend.
Really beautiful.
This is so satisfying to watch.. 😍
I always used to think why Acrylic paint brushes cost so much? Now I know why. Thanks for sharing this video
Acrylic brushes are actually the cheapest ones out there. Next is oil, then watercolor ones. Acrylic ones get beat on with the medium of acrylic being basically plastic. Next being oil, they need to be sturdy enough to hold the thick heavy bodied paint of oils and solvents when working with oils. Watercolor is a more delicate medium with no harsh binders or solvents, but the hairs need to be able to hold just the right amount of water and pigments to make them flow easily. The materials they’re made of need to be able to acquire that process in the right manner which is harder to do with nylon. Technology is getting better to be able to make them in vegan materials now to be able to function properly for the medium as needed. Watercolor being of the more expensive mediums, it’s no wonder why the brushes needed are also more expensive as well since they need to be better brushes to get good quality results from them. When painting in watercolor, the paint dries faster and you need the right amount of water on your paper to do so. Getting the right amount on your brush helps a lot so you’re not constantly back and forth with the water and/or pigments before it dries. In most cases, you want a super thirsty brush to do the job. These brushes shown here are for watercolor.
Jazza: Oh goody let's make one with horse hair!

Wow intresting to watch ur video
Excellent 😊
how smartly the cruelty got hidden !
Super idea
Wow very nice....
Hmmm wonder if we can dip our fuzzy brushes into starch like that to re-shape them? Other ways aren’t working so they usually become my scrubbing brushes to scrub paint into the canvas.
Wow,
I am watching this video because I am an artist 😊
Very interesting.
Amazing ❤️
I just want to make a brush that we use for trees
It is very interested thanks
Good paint breshes from where to buy
Super
looks simple
Nice!
So nice
Super brush video 👌👌🙏🙏👍👍💞💞💞
All of this hard job and you still dare not to THIN YOUR PAINTS!
Question is, do they kill the weasel in the making of the brush???
Of course not, they look for dead ones :)
Yeah.
Yes, always. Disgusting practice.
........🙄
It took me a bit to find an actual answer. Some sites said they were farmed and shaved, sable is very expensive. But this video mentions them being hunted: czcams.com/video/zKqfC0E82gU/video.html
I just found a random dead mouse on my bathroom floor. There was also dried blood near it, but I have no idea how tf it died. It wasn't there 2 hours ago.
Thats cool
Wow you must be a sad lonely person if you feel the need to tell the internet things like that. Go meet a real person then you can tell them things that happen to you.
@@BigButtocks967 you must be in a lot of pain to deflect your judgment and criticism onto people you don't know. Whatever happened to you is ok, you're not alone and there are people out there who will listen and who you can talk to. Best of luck.
Did you ever find out????
@@apersononyoutube4971 Well I have an idea... I live in a very large house which has been divided into 12 apartments; I'm guessing the mice have their own little infrastructure building nicely connecting some of them. I think the hole is very small and is behind the heating board in in the bathroom; if so, I'm thinking they ran out of energy and hurt themselves trying to squeeze through and died when it finally got loose.
OMG i have this brush :0000
Damn the part when they dipped the sticks was SaTiSfYiNg
Ik I'm weird ;-;
I Love It..
Wow
I'm in before 1k views. Nice
