    Very instructional. Thanks. For some unknow reason, when I tried to apply animation style to selected text, I found the "Apply" button is greyed pout. I tried other styles and text. I have the same issue. Can you please help as when the "Apply" button is disabled ?

      Make sure the text layer is selected, if the layer is not active then the button will be greyed out.

    Good Video, but a little bit too fast.
    I have two problems: Sometimes the "Apply" and the "Remove"- button in the animation feature is not selectable.
    And my second problem is: I cannot animate two different text different on one slide .
    Can you help me?
    Thanks

      In order for the Apply and Remove, the text layer has to be selected. To do 2 separate animations, put the text on 2 separate layers.

    What I am trying to do is have my yt Chanel name come up off the bottom left of the screen, go around a half circle and stop when even on both sides. I hope to do this over a picture so I need the text to be animated as well as overlap the picture as not to block it fully.
    Is there a video that you have(or know of) that will show me how to accomplish that?

    George. In PSE22 my 'autofill edge' is not working. Any suggestions? Trying to straighten picture and allowing it to fill in sides. Thanks for all the teaching and help, Libby.

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  Před 2 lety +1

      When using the Straighten Image Guided Edit first check the checkbox for fill edges, then do the straighten. Depending on how much white space there is to fill it may not fill everything and you may need to crop the image.

      After several hours of google I gave up. Today asked my dau and in 2 min she got it. ( I was using tool from draw)
      As you know - in MODIFY TOOLS. U have to click crop, then cookie cutter, find shapes, rounded square. (appreciate you and your skill)

    thanks for this video, I created the first text animation and wanted to copy and paste and re use this format for the rest of the pictures, however, it somehow links all texts and if I make an edit to the next one, it changes the first one as well. It drives me nuts. How come they are linked? and for what reason? is there a way to copy only the format and edit each text individually? thx.

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  Před 3 měsíci +1

      What you need to do is copy your animation, then create a new video track and add new text to that track, then select that new text, right click and choose Paste Effects and Adustments. If you just paste the copied animation as is then you will get a new animation line on the original track that is linked to the original animation.

      @@HTGGeorge thanks, I also figured out that I could duplicate the text in media, but this process is cumbersome. I think Final Cut Pro is easier to use. Or, even iMovie, you simply copy the text and edit it, who would need to repeat the same text over and over. Adobe didn’t think it through 😂

      @@gregoz6 I hate to say it, but I agree, I am not a big fan of either Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements. I do the occasional Premiere Elements video just because so many of my subscribers own it, and they own it because they purchased it as a set with Photoshop Elements. I normally use Camtasia Studio but I am looking at switching to DaVinci Resolve, they are both about $300 each. My favorite low price/free editor is VideoProc Vlogger.

    I'm surprised that you did not show how to create that little banner that rolls out between the segments of your video and then rolls back up. Is that in PE somewhere or is that in a different program? Or can something like that be achieved with keyframes?

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  Před 3 měsíci

      I do my CZcams video editing in Camtasia Studio (pro level program) and that animation is from Camtasia. I could do all of my videos in Premiere Elements, but using a pro level program is just better for my needs.

    • @ICGArchives

      I suspected as much. I think there's a way to mostly reproduce that graphic with this software. It'd take a bit of doing, though.

    Unless I'm missing something. I notice the selection of Fades animation are either Fade in or Fade Out. It does not allow me to select FadeInByLine and also FadeOutByline at the same time. However, I do see there is a DropInandOutByCharacters on the same text. Wonder how can I do both Fade In and the Fade Out of the same text ?

    • @HTGGeorge

      Put your different lines of text on different layers in Elements.

      @@HTGGeorge Thx. You gave me an idea to solve this fade-in & fade out on the same text and it works having bot lines of text on the same layer. Wish they have a selection of animation of both Fade-In-&-Fade-Out with time control as how long the text stay on before start fading out.

    Ok, but I'm brand new at this, only doing narration style videos with OBS reactions from the net. You started with something on the screen already....the background video with the light coming down. How do I start with something like that? Where can I get backgrounds?

    • @HTGGeorge

      A great place to get video clips is pixabay.com. Just do a search for backgrounds and set the type to Videos (on the right where it says Images).

    So when I add an animation to the classic text, it takes forever for the letters to fade in because I have the text duration to be as long as my clip.. But it takes almost 20 seconds before the first letter even appears. How do you adjust the settings of each animation? I've used some pretty basic video editors that so far have been wayy better than this. I feel like this program is lacking alot of basic features or just makes it wayy too hard to figure out

    • @HTGGeorge
      @HTGGeorge  Před rokem

      Photoshop Elements is a full powered video editor, so it has a steeper learning curve compared to the basic video editors you will find online. It can do a lot more and has more control over effects like Fade. But it is more difficult to learn. On the Fade in it sounds like you have the fade in set to take the whole length of the video clip, instead of only taking a few seconds. On the video track that contains the text click on the down arrow to the left of the name of the track, this will open up the track controls and show you the keyframes for the fade in. I am guessing that you will find the keyframe clear to the right side end of that track. Just grab the keyframe on the track and pull it over near the left side beginning of the track to control when the text is at 100% visible.

      @@HTGGeorge ah OK. I'll give that a shot. I'm also having an issue where when I copy a text box over and go to edit it, it also changes the one I copied it from, despite being two totally separate clips. Why is it doing that? I can't find anything about it online or in instructional videos. For example: I have a text saying "before" with some animations and text colors. I copied that because I then have another segement that needs to say "After" but I want it to have all the same effects. But again, if I change either one of them, I automatically changes botht
