Sadly I started SH at 11 and it’s really hard to stop I’m 5 days clean and that’s the longest in a while

I love this podcast so much. It really helps me feel like my feelings are valid because Im most likely depressed or I have been. I also had suicidal thoughts and have sh. Im only 14 and it’s hard being queer, having anxiety, and most likely having depression. Im luckily getting better. The world would be so much better if people were accepting.
I really want to thank you Mattie this chapter really resonates with me as I struggle with depression and self harm. Ever since around 2020 you have been a hero for me . I first came across some of your TikTok’s reposted onto Pinterest and immediately felt comfortable because I’d never seen anyone who was Non-binary before. You unlocked a whole new part of myself that I didn’t even know was there and I want to thank you for that because you made me feel like I wasn’t the only one feeling the way I was. I also related so much to when you talked about when your dad saw your self harm scars because I went through a similar thing except my parents didn’t get me the help I needed. In other words thank you Mattie, you made me cry but also helped me to know that I’m not alone at the same time

It was while listening to several consecutive episodes of this podcast that I wrote my first song. It’s a love song to my first ever girl crush (and she’s lesbian 😁😁😁). So Mattie, you are responsible if this works out

I have had a crush on this one girl for at least 2 year if not longer, I was speculating before I realized I was in love with this girl but I only figured it out this year. I think she knew even before i knew. Me and this girl were shopping with my other friend and we all needed to try something on, there was only one open and before we went in she asked me with a kinda grossed out expression if I liked girls. She said it in a funny voice but I knew she was serious. At this point I knew i did, but I said no anyway so she wouldn't be uncomfortable. she had asked me this a few times before but I always denied it. I think she started to believe me because she has not asked in a while but idk. (btw this story took place before i even knew I liked her)

So there's this one guy that can't seem to stop "fake flirting" with me at parties and sleepovers, sais he's straight, and is really cute. I quickly fell for him even though he would barely notice me at school. Idk what to think about this behavior and I probably should move on but I can't afford to. I also don't know if he's just straight or closeted since he's catholic and has a strict mother like yours. I've been out as a bisexual boy for about six months now and i'm obviously afraid to ask him out. Any advice from your personal experience ?

Ive wanted to self harm for years like since the age of 10. But I was a rhythmic gymnast so with the way too revealing uniforms and leotards i knew i couldn't hide it. Lets just say im not a gymnast anymore..
