Joey playing in this song is so groovy. Also one of the best chorus in Slipknot history. For me it's their best album, riffs, solos, vocals, everything was amazing.

@@Triple-FourI love Iowa, and consider it Slipknot's 3rd best album, the thing I don't like about it is like some songs are kinda' hard to recognize (I always mix Disasterpiece, The Heretic Anthem and People=Shit even though I love the three of them), and that's the reason why Vol. 3 is my favorite album, every single song is a banger and easy to recognize.
New album is gonna be called "ALL BAND IS GONE" :D

Shawn in a recent interview said that a new album is come ing out next year, mabey Look Outside Your Window, and that they might be doing small shows were they are all crammed onto a small stage like the start of the band.

The song is about over coming low points in your life. Sulfur he plays on it like suffer or suffering. If you ever breath in sulfur you would know it makes it harder on your lungs to breath. It's like the same effect when breathing inside a plastic bag. So, it's about low points in your life and having a lot of stress where it's making it hard to breath or feel great. So, it's saying pretty much you will always find a will and a way to survive.. Yet, you have choices you and take it as it is and deal with it... and push yourself to cover come it... or die. These are the two outcomes from such a dark low point. Yet, it doesn't mean you won't has more struggles after overcoming a few.. That is why the line he says pretty much he accepts the fact that he will suffer for the rest of his life but will always find a way to survive aka he will always overcome it. It just saying you have to face it.. and you only face the facts when you stop running away from acknowledging them.
“Turndisc” bless your heart. Turntable. This is their last single with all original members. The Bassist Paul Gray who passed away a year after this video was filmed and the drummer Joey Jordison who was kicked out for still unknown reasons and who has sadly passed away. Still my favorite drummer of the band.
I think that there are two possible reasons why Joey was kicked out.
1) They knew Joey was sick and they knew he would not be able to play drums for some time (but they should found replacement instead of kicking legend out)
2) They don't know he was sick and thought that Joey is taking drugs
Joey said they thought he was on drugs, and there's the line in AOV "I don't wanna watch another brother fucking die." That's fairly undeniable.
They should’ve let him back into the band after .5: The Gray Chapter and said it was due to creative reasons. I think everyone would’ve been ok with that. Joey might not have been in the state of mind he was leading up to his passing. His ex gf said he was in a very dark place which was the reasoning of their split.

@@oldscratch3535I don’t listen to metal at all. but slipknot is one of a kind and i agree with you. i personally don’t think that slipknot deserves the hate they receive. slipknot will probably be the only band i listen to that isnt kpop.
yeah that was heavy and kinda feel one of the most underrated tracks. But if you want to hear pure agression, energy and brutality listen to classics like: Spit it out, eyeless, disasterpiece and people = sh*t these are total CLASSICS and these tracks are showing how much real and angry they were back in the day.

Not many SK fans will put this in their top three if you have them put a list of favorite songs by them but this is hands down one of their best.

Love this tune
That guitar part you cant describe is visceral. It bypasses your logical mind and you feel it. The song isn't dark. It's triumphant. He's describing a world designed to beat you down by making you feel bad. That first time you are tested and know who you are... It empowers you and that outside world/society can't break you. Relisten. I promise you'll hear another song.
Cory’s delivery on this always reminded me of some of the stuff he did with Stone Sour. This is an amazing song and album!

Slipknot has been through it. They are one of the bands that help me get through some dark leet times in my life.

This is a good song, but it barely scratches the surface on how dark slipknot can get. You need to react to some of their IOWA songs (their best album imo)

One of The few things i love about this album is the Mid-Low Growling approach from Corey and The Death/Thrash influences all over the record aside from a couple of very country/pop sounding songs here and there that suck ass a lot... The album feels heavy and very distinctive in that aspect compared with the latest releases

Their last ever videoclip/single with original lineup. Paul Gray died in 2010 and Joey Jordison was kicked out in 2013 and died 2021. Their replecaments were Alessandro Venturella for Bass and Jay Weinberg for drums (but he was kicked from band two weeks ago and Slipknot currently dont have drummer). Chris Fehn (Percussion) was kicked from band in early 2019 and his replecament is Michael Pfaff and finally Craig Jones (Keyboard) was kicked/left also this year and his replacement is here but we dont know name. So only 5 og members are here left.
Well if we talk about original members, there's only Clown left and maybe Sid. I mean Corey isn't an original member and so isn't Mick. And I don't know what about Jim
shawn (clown) is the only original founding member left.. It was shawn, joey, paul and a singer named anders
