Speed Bag_Punch Drumming 1 Basic straight time punching

This video presents an initial teaching tutorial about Punch Drumming (Hitting with Music) on a Speed Bag. It presents concepts and methods for learning to Punch in "Straight Time", or directly "on the beat" using a Metronome. It is presented for beginners to learn "beat control" of Basic Punching combinations. There is a musical presentation at the end, punching to a Backing Track purchase from the amazing "Nick Neblo". The track is A harmonic minor scale (E Phrygian dominant mode). Flamenco Arabic style for improvisation

What is the best swivel and size bag? I used a chain-link and peanut bag for many years but seems a bit too quick to punch drum.

The chain link swivel is fine and peanut bag (small) is also fine, but that bag is best for faster music. For slower music, you can either let a bit of air out of the bag or go to a larger sized bag such as 9x6 or 10x7. Also, Punch Drumming is about "SOUND and BEAT control" for whatever speed of the music your using. For slower music, hit softer.
