I can't believe what it did to the researcher guy, rest his soul (not a pun about him being south Korean). Goes to show there's still a very primal and very unpredictable element that can never be ruled out.
Amazing indeed and what an endearing interaction. Very intelligent, beloved animals. Man needs to stop hurting these rare animals...Anderson Cooper's a sweet man. So lovable and kind.
kanzi is not the only chimp or bonobo that is able to do this complicated task with symbols. there have been others. ITS still amzing how they can remember the symbols and do it so fast
***** they cant . humans cant. I watched this documentary where a group of scientists and mathematicians were asked to learn the symbols and do the same as the chimps in a test. the chimps got it 100 percent all the time. the scientist couldnt do as fast or near as correct...amazing.
jessie james kanzi is a genius among bonobos, he picked up human language faster than any ape I know, even when he wasn’t being taught. Originally when he was a baby, they would have him play while they taught his mother, but she couldn’t rly pick it up. Then one day they asked her to do something, and kanzi(who was like 1.5 years old at the time) did it instead
It was very brave of you to put on that bunny suit! I am sure you are quite tired of the hilarity at your expense. But you did it to get a great story...so it is appreciated.
Anderson Cooper heir or hare to the richest family in the world The VanderBilts his mother gloria vanderbilt a satanic witch who consumes Adtenochrome who sacrifice children. He was CIA
Anderson I am actually impressed that you were willing to be the 🐰 bunny! I thought perhaps your integrity/pride might get in the way, but your dedication to the story shines through! Thank you. Also I believe the 'bib' might have been a vest? The baby, Tiko, was just adorable! Do you know if Tiko's Father knows that he is his son (and also what that means), and if so, does he interact with his baby using the board? 😁
Sources I have seen say 30,000 to 50,000 in the wild. We should fined an island that has the perfect bonobo environment and put a few thousand there where they will be completely safe with no predators.
Panbanisha died a couple years after this and a bunch of former care givers accused Sue of being a danger to the animals. Kanzi and Panbanisha both became morbidly obese under her care as well. Fortunately Kanzi is with new people and he has lost over 75 pounds!!
just wait till one has a taste for show biz, gonna have 200million followers, make millions and say "kanzi jr. go hollywood, make movie, crush competition, win oscar"
You can see Panbanisha walking around at 2:22. In the wild they don't have to go too far in the jungle for food and can borrow from others. The swelling is that size for about 10 days. Apparently they do get scratches and bug bites, though ;P
I'd be fascinated to witness Kanzi and Koko the gorilla and the orangutan and chimps that have all been taught sign language and symbols just to hear what they would say to each other. Even if only via Skype it would give an insight into their minds to communicate with other great apes not just humans. I can't believe this hasn't been done already.
Koko clearly did not know sign language, and all the monkeys you mentioned were dead at the time of writing lmao. Peopleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
This place been closed for years. No funding and one got out. It was south east of Des Moines close the the river. Last time I was out there was years ago and it was all abandoned
TyQuan Brown it was a very modified version, it wasn’t ASL. Still very impressive tho, but this shows that kanzi knows just as many words if not more than koko did
This reminds me of Coco and when they put her on display for the public only to find that she could sign the words people were shouting at her like banana and hello and answers to short questions. I believe she died too soon to explore her abilities.
The issue I have is that early humans were said to have created language themselves over thousands of years of evolution... how do we know this ape isn't just mimicking akin to how a parrot mimics to get what it wants...????
Bonobos communicate in a higher frequency than humans, so i'm guessing she talks like that to communicate better. After doing it all the time I'm sure it's hard to turn off.
I'd really like to see Dr Sue or someone with such dedication as her, doing some of this type of interaction with some Orangutans. From what I have seen of Orangutans they are particularly intelligent also. 🥜🍌🐵
"there is no fossil evidence of the half reptile half bird species". Ever heard of Archaeopteryx? And if we suddenly jumped into existence 500 million years ago, what about homo erectus, australopithecus, homo habilis and so on?
DNA changes/mutations do not produce the better adaptation, they produce changes blindly. The environment decides in place, and time which is a "good" or effective change. Drop a thousand balls on a grid of holes, only one or two are small enough to get through. Multiply by millions or billions if you like the rules the same.
The "environment" is also everything the individual does and the group does, so in a way many factors enter into what takes place, including random mutation of the DNA. However, once a being become conscious of being conscious, many decisions are made by such beings by intent, and not "blindly."
I never said these hominides existed 500 million years ago! But I repeat my point: If we according to Maziyar jumped into existence 500 million years ago and there were no inbetween species how comes that LATER (1.4 to 1.5 million years ago) there were these hominides?
Not all mutations are bad, like @RapidDominance357 explained to you, also people now days have the misconception that we came straight out from the "monkeys" or gorillas, that is not the case, hominids were in a way their unique species, with similar phenotypes to these creatures but we were not the same.
Knowledge can't transfer through genetics, but they can be taught by their parents. Kanzi originally learned Yerkish (the lexigram language) by watching his adoptive mother being taught.
Actually the one with the swellings is the female one, panbanisha(RIP). That swelling is called sexual swelling occuring in some female primate species, as a sign of fertility. If I recall correctly, it happens in menstrual cycle.
Anderson goes down those rabbit holes... Goes down on lots of things... Gets into all those holes. 😂Anderson's used to people shoving their carrots on his face.
@supertrinko Most Animals do not kill People. there's only a FEW animals that could be considered man eaters in any way. Most of the time that people die to Animals is becaus they did something stupid and did not know enough about the Animal in question.
That baby Bonobo is too cute.
I can't believe what it did to the researcher guy, rest his soul (not a pun about him being south Korean). Goes to show there's still a very primal and very unpredictable element that can never be ruled out.
Awww Anderson, you look amazing as yourself or bunny, always!
The apes absolutely trolled Cooper!
Amazing indeed and what an endearing interaction. Very intelligent, beloved animals. Man needs to stop hurting these rare animals...Anderson Cooper's a sweet man. So lovable and kind.
I couldn't stop laughing. AC looked cute as a bunny. He even hopped. I was howling.
He is the best reporter ever I got nothing but respect for that man
when they identified bread, you can hear a squeak that almost sounds like "bread"
kanzi is not the only chimp or bonobo that is able to do this complicated task with symbols. there have been others. ITS still amzing how they can remember the symbols and do it so fast

He seems the most advanced in understand human speech all together. At least from what I have seen.
He can also play Pacman!

yea they can play chess too... get the f out
Omg Anderson have the same adorable giggle. Sigh😍
VERY FIRST time I have ever seen Anderson Cooper doing anything worthwhile! WOW!!
Then clearly you haven't seen much of what he does.
@@tuckerlane7995 I do try to avoid him & his network. The "bunny suit" was his finest moment.
They're such quirky animals.
It was very brave of you to put on that bunny suit! I am sure you are quite tired of the hilarity at your expense. But you did it to get a great story...so it is appreciated.
Awesome. Just wait until your own son is old enough to watch this and appreciate your work.
A smart segment. I couldn't stop laughing at the sight of AC in the bunny suit. I lost it when he hopped.
Anderson Cooper heir or hare to the richest family in the world The VanderBilts his mother gloria vanderbilt a satanic witch who consumes Adtenochrome who sacrifice children. He was CIA
Bonobos are amazingly fascinating
Thanks for being a sport, Mr. Cooper! Great respect for whomever shows a tenderness toward animals.
Anderson I am actually impressed that you were willing to be the 🐰 bunny! I thought perhaps your integrity/pride might get in the way, but your dedication to the story shines through! Thank you. So nice of Anderson Cooper to do this!
Only nice thing I have seen him do!
I adore Anderson Cooper. I've watched him for years and somehow I never saw this. Glad I saw it now tho. He is so funny dressed like a rabbit.
These teachers are really brilliant too, taught the apes to.communicate with humans,it's a great wonder
I love how he hops in pulling the cart behind him.
There is a wonderful documentary about Kahnzi, the bonobo in this video.
Lol Anderson's laugh and hop at 4:28 was too cute!
Panbanisha died a couple years after this and a bunch of former care givers accused Sue of being a danger to the animals. Kanzi and Panbanisha both became morbidly obese under her care as well. Fortunately Kanzi is with new people and he has lost over 75 pounds!!

The apes went to school.that's amazing ......
Nice dog whistle

Yes, your correct, this should be done.
Sue Rumbaugh I bet we'd learn a lot about how humanocentric our world view is and that they are much nicer people than humans.
Sadly, Koko and Michael the gorillas, and Chantek the orangutan have all died. But hopefully there are more out there.
Koko clearly did not know sign language, and all the monkeys you mentioned were dead at the time of writing lmao.
Peopleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I love you Kanzi
It was a great video n heartwarming seeing anderson as the bunny,verycool...
Aaaand this is basically the beginning of "planet of the apes"
Really like this! :)
She sounds like dobby
What I learned is that your bunny suit was a symbol like Santa Clause is to us humans. That they embrace a rudimentary culture. Interesting.
Oh soo cute with the rabbit I’m so shocked
"Take your hands off me you damn, dirty bunny!" :oD
Anderson cooper should wear the bunny suit during his TV interviews on the Anderson Cooper show, it would be more befitting to what CNN is.
Great
Please take 2 seconds and pray for the bonobos to be protected.
Thank you so much
From Anderson Cooper?👍😂😂😂😂
"Are you happy gangie" "yes ma'am, i, am"
Thanks for the reply. I was always curious about that!
I'm very happy human women don't have that going on. lol
Now that's my idea of a bunny! I especially liked his fluffy cotton-tail. :-)
WTF IS THAT BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP NOISE!?!??! IS IT ONLY ME!?
From broken televisor
It's one of the sounds bonobos make.
I couldn't hear it over the roar of my tinnitus at first
This place been closed for years. No funding and one got out. It was south east of Des Moines close the the river. Last time I was out there was years ago and it was all abandoned
Ive never heard of any apes escaping? I know the facility came under new management and may have moved
Excellent. Thank You.
tico is adorable!
Anderson is like a kid in a candy store🥺
He looks like Ralphy from A Christmas Story XD
I thought she was sitting on a bean bag.
omg I just adore this so much
If Herbert the pervert had a wife, she would be take that role ahaha
Eat the Damn carrot!
Why didn't they ask Kanzi to make Anderson some lunch? Kanzi could build him a campfire and make him some noodles! lol
Koko learned sign language it’s really amazing RIP
TyQuan Brown it was a very modified version, it wasn’t ASL. Still very impressive tho, but this shows that kanzi knows just as many words if not more than koko did
Anderson is lying. He wears that bunny suit at least twice a week for his boyfriend.
This reminds me of Coco and when they put her on display for the public only to find that she could sign the words people were shouting at her like banana and hello and answers to short questions. I believe she died too soon to explore her abilities.

Toheck with the nay sayers! Those Bonobos are communicating just fine without them.
AC 360 can avail of Bonobo services.🤣🤣
I haven't really seen too many, but I believe so. Suddenly periods don't seem so bad.
my role playing fantasy just came true
"be laid back" "see where it goes" - then its rips your arms off
Bonobos are peaceful they make love NOT war look it up
Bonobos communicate in a higher frequency than humans, so i'm guessing she talks like that to communicate better. After doing it all the time I'm sure it's hard to turn off.
I'd really like to see Dr Sue or someone with such dedication as her, doing some of this type of interaction with some Orangutans. From what I have seen of Orangutans they are particularly intelligent also. 🥜🍌🐵
The former great ape trust (now ape cognition and conservation initiative) did some work at the Indianapolis zoo, teaching some Orangutans lexigrams.
Her voice reminds me of that puppet from mr. Rogers
Yeah, especially for getting into a bunny suit on national television.
Lol cool
If they really wanted to sell that carrot joke at the end, he should have pressed his own Lexicon board and clapped like dummy
Bunny suit is the new 🍕 gate
Can anyone tell me about the large growth looking thing on the backside of one of the chimps? I'm curious.
he wore a rabbit suit
and he continues to entertain apes
Caesar is home.
People will try to convert them
"mutations cannot cause improvements only errors"
Evidence?
4 dislikes? I can't understand why anyone would dislike this. Wft?
maybe, they just don't like Anderson Cooper.
Bonobos are not five times stronger than average humans that always debunked by Glen finch
Those poor Bonobo's having to listen to that hideous fucking shrill of a voice from that witch asking them retarded questions all day long.
"there is no fossil evidence of the half reptile half bird species". Ever heard of Archaeopteryx? And if we suddenly jumped into existence 500 million years ago, what about homo erectus, australopithecus, homo habilis and so on?
Sorry I can not belive a word coming out of coppers mouth
He's cosplaying as Pamperchu!

yah thats what i wanna know, this was real cool but that big pink blob was kinda gross
I never said these hominides existed 500 million years ago! But I repeat my point: If we according to Maziyar jumped into existence 500 million years ago and there were no inbetween species how comes that LATER (1.4 to 1.5 million years ago) there were these hominides?
wait until you see kanzi play video games (its on youtube)
Not all mutations are bad, like @RapidDominance357 explained to you, also people now days have the misconception that we came straight out from the "monkeys" or gorillas, that is not the case, hominids were in a way their unique species, with similar phenotypes to these creatures but we were not the same.
woa, how do they cope in the wild, to carry all that around while looking for food.
Does learning now translate into future DNA in Binobos. Is knowledge passed to their children?🧐
Knowledge can't transfer through genetics, but they can be taught by their parents. Kanzi originally learned Yerkish (the lexigram language) by watching his adoptive mother being taught.
this video is proof of evolution
Wah wah bunny jokes. You got to have an amazing experience many of us only dream of. Get over it
I’m so jealous!! I know!
but its genetic mutation thats a vital part of natural selection.
so what do you actually mean by errors
why does the other bonobo have those 2 protusions coming out of her back end? is it normal or a cancer
Sounds weird, but those are his testicles. They produce an enormous amount of sperm in order to make sure they have evolutionary advantages...
Actually the one with the swellings is the female one, panbanisha(RIP). That swelling is called sexual swelling occuring in some female primate species, as a sign of fertility. If I recall correctly, it happens in menstrual cycle.
jessie james giant vagina
@chromeo415
My guess she's probably in heat. I'm assuming that's why her lower region is protruding.
Coppers husband wears the same outfit
is it supposed to be that big?
Animals can't see theirselves in the mirror. Did he really say that?
Anderson goes down those rabbit holes... Goes down on lots of things... Gets into all those holes.
😂Anderson's used to people shoving their carrots on his face.
