Skiing COL du PLAN/TOURNIER Spur - Not everything goes to plan!

The North Couloir of the Col du Plan, a.k.a Tournier Spur, is considered the 'introduction' to skiing the North Face of the Aiguille du Midi. 50deg icy slopes above a guaranteed death fall is par for the course on this iconic mountain face! The line had been skied before but the old tracks had since filled in again, meaning we were skiing the line blind and 'onsight'. This lead to an error in line choice which was nearly a disaster!

Firstly no, CZcams pays me peanuts. But we didn't leave them behind, they are back-up. The second, lighter person brings them down if the ice has held the weight of the first person without incident (which it did).
