Miss ol’ Davey. He got to hold me in his arms when I was 2 years old in 92. My aunt and my mom got a picture of me with him. My aunt told me he was the sweetest young man. Got plenty of autographs from him and his dad. He probably would’ve been a multi championship driver if he didn’t have that tragic accident in 93. Thanks for the upload SMIFF.

Davey was one the nicest friendliest drivers to his fans. Made it real easy to cheer for him. Even at Rockingham in Earnhardt country you would have people rooting for Davey. The Allison's went thru alot in about 5 year span from Bobby's wreck to the loss of Clifford and Davey. I know people especially in Alabama still miss Davey and what could have been.

I hope videos like this remain on the net for the entire remainder of my life. I can get out all my model cars, photos, news paper clippings and magazines of Davey Allison and Alan Kulwicki and relive those exciting and fond memory years of NASCAR racing from 1988 to 1993 by watching them. Thank you Davey and Alan!!! On a side note, NASCAR racing is a joke compared to these days. There will never be drivers like those through those years and even before!!!!
Thanks for posting. Met Davey several times as someone who grew up around Bristol,TN. I remember as a kid he once signed autographs for everyone wanting one in the pouring cold April rain for hours. Awesome guy.
Man this broke my f'ing heart when I watched this documentary but I'm glad I was able to find on CZcams.... I remember his accident like it was yesterday. Truly one of a kind - Not only did he have a damn good work ethic and a competitive drive in Winston cup racing that was hair raising, he was also humble dude with a heart of gold. His optimistic outlook on life was something that I hope people remember about him. I busted out in tears early on in the video when Liz just wanted him to make it home safely at the end of every race... I couldn't imagine some of the things the Allisons had to go through. Rest in peace Davey, and thank you for not only being my hero in racing, but being my hero in life 🙏
Amazing thing about them Alabama boys, and Carolina boys. They’re so down to earth,you can’t help but cheer for them. Guess Earnhardt said it best, there’s just something about that red dirt strip from Alabama to Carolina. Proud red dirt poor boy.

I'll never forget Davey. I may have only got to follow him for one season, on account of me being so young, but damn was it a great one. He'll always be the greatest IMHO!
Davey Allison was a great driver and a wonderful human being. I got a diecast car of his a couple of weeks before he passed. I never got to see him race too much but he was a great race car driver and nice guy. He had so much racing left in his future, he didn't deserve to die in that helicopter crash.
Davey certainly had everything to been a multiple cup champion he had a fast car all the talent and a set off balls big enuff that im surprised he didnt have to push a wheel barrel Around to cary his nuts in
After some of the wrecks he survived to then die in a helicopter is just sad Davey would’ve gone on to win many championships if he had lived heaven is a better place for having Davey and Clifford and Alan kulwicki too I hope they are all at peace on the big speedway in the sky
Never forget the day i was 5 at talladega and saw the number 3 the number 2 and 28 the black cars had me hooked.tears roll down my eyes when i walk through his memorial in talladega knowing he was one of the drivers i looked up too as a young boy and now that im 36 with kids of my own racing is not the same and it sad too see
I have Davey Allisons model car in its original box not even put together. I also got Dale Earnhardts black number 3 car , jeff Gordon's Dupoint rainbow car and Richard pettys stp car model. All still in the boxes. I found them at a yard sale. I dont know if ill ever put them together. I put them in a plastic tote with a lid on them and put them away in my garage. I wish i could find the Tide car model and the wrangler car.
