    Remember, Horse, the turn is where you have to make decisions about bet sizing. You should be making it huge often when villains cap themselves. This is the way to create big pots and put them in tight spots!
    98ss: Not sure what the turn card actually was since the 7d was supposedly on the flop, but I don't believe this calls for a raise. I guess you can do it sometimes, and it depends somewhat on what a bet of 25 into 45 from this villain means. I'd probably just call here and would not be too comfortable with it.
    QJo: I think your flop x is fine bc you don't want to get blown off the hand by a raise. I'd bet a little bigger on the turn. If he has nothing, he's not calling you either way, and you want to KNOW if this player has a hand he's willing to commit to. I just call the river raise. (My loose rule is: If I can beat any value, I call.) Of course I bet larger on the river too.
    77: Flop raise was fine, though I'd have gone a little bigger.
    AcKd #1: Eek. BLUNDER on every street.
    KK: Your fold was fine. If BB had checked again and BU bet, I'd consider calling, but BB is relatively uncapped because his first check was just procedural (checking to the bettor). When he bets into 2 players, he's much more likely to have at least Ax.
    AcKd #2: Another preflop blunder. You HAVE to get money in preflop to stand a chance of getting the money in.
    JJ: I screamed at the monitor "WHY ARE YOU CHECKING THE TURN?" Oh well. It "turned" out ok.

    Got to C bet the KK on the A high board. You have all the big aces in your range. With the A2 hand where you river trips you need to bet at least pot, its actually a good spot to overbet the pot, as you are super polarised there

    • @MaydayAggro
      @MaydayAggro Před měsícem +1

      He does not need to bet the KK on an A-high board vs 2 players. I think the x is fine. If BB had checked the turn, he could have made a value bet.

    Hey man, just giving a constructive feedback. When you said you want to play for stacks, those Ace Kings you had were great candidates to build pots pre flop! Don’t be afraid of the monsters under the bed! You gotta get them to be scared of YOUR monsters!
    You really missed out on some great value but hey, at least we see that you are acknowledging those spots.
    The KK’s you had there should have been a C bet! At least a third of the pot. If they call you, then easy shut down! But you gave up without a fight on that flop… that Ace may have not been ideal, but that flop was your range!

    Raise turn with QJ with your straight. Missing so much value from 88/99/TT/76/33/etc 2pairs, JT etc.
    Also flop is way closer to a bet than a check (imo). We have Q high, can get worse to fold a lot.
    Bigger on the river 100%. At least full pot. Folding to c/r is fine, depending on his c/r size. If it's a min-raise, just pay it off. If he jams.. then you can fold. Not sure how he can raise worse value here when you can easily have T9/T8 here. Not to mention people rarely c/r river bluff.

    • @MaydayAggro
      @MaydayAggro Před měsícem

      I x this on the flop. Getting worse to fold is not the goal. Getting better to fold is, which is doubtful on this flop. Also, if we get raised we are screwed with only a gutshot as our implied odds hand to fall back on.

    JJ hand i think is fine. no reason to bet turn or river. unless your opponents drool all over the table, you're not getting called by worse.

  • @jonathansykes4986
    @jonathansykes4986 Před měsícem

    Honestly, 100 bb deep, from utg at a 8 handed game, you should be starting your suited ace raises at A4s. The deeper you are and the more short handed (i.e. if 1 player is away from the table) then you can go start raising A3s/A2s. And honestly, it wouldn't be that big of an error to only raise A5s in spot like this as your less than suited ATs+.
    No idea on this flop, but I think I would want to start blasting with bottom pair and backdoors. Get better pairs to fold (33-77), put 8x in tough spots. Can put ourselves in position to make Jx question their hands on later streets. You have close to absolute zero show down value barring you hit an A / 2.. I do like the river size. Get a call from a non believing J/Q (or possibility worse..)

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  Před měsícem

      My strategy has been to raise the suited “wheel” aces from early position. A2s, A3s, A4s and A5s. Every other suited ace is a fold accept the premiums like ATs+.
      Being multiway is what hurts me in spots like this. Heads up, I bet flop and bet turn to put pressure on my opponents pairs. Playing multiway it’s a lot trickier because I have 4 cards I’m up against that I need to get through.
      The only thing I like about the way I played this hand is the river bet.

    • @jonathansykes4986
      @jonathansykes4986 Před měsícem +1

      @@panicpoker i don't think you're making an error by opening A2s-A5s utg, it's just high variance plus a bit tricky to play multiway when you don't flop two pair or better. honestly it's hard to say what boards to continue with multi-way when you flop bottom pair or A high or paired boards like 448..
      There are no solvers for multi-way postflop (as far as I know) and while this board seems good to fire on, it's also incinerating money vs anyone who will call 3 streets with a Jx hand (i.e. KJ).
      Poker is hard.

  • @jonathansykes4986
    @jonathansykes4986 Před měsícem

    KQ interesting solver likes betting 150% pot with some range, but not this hand. Prefers checking back and going for bigger value with AQ+, QQ, 66, 77, 54, 76, and bluffs would be some Flush draws, A4/A5/AK along with turning some K high into bluffs (K5s/KJhearts), and turning 7x into bluffs blocking 77 and 76.

  • @jonathansykes4986
    @jonathansykes4986 Před měsícem +1

    Not sure why you want to raise 9s8s on 8c7x6c7c board. Especially with 1 behind you. Closer to a fold than a call. Also this is too loose preflop.
    Just make it 60 preflop with the 65s in the sb.

    AKo in sb. no call. BAD. you want to 3-bet almost 100% of time in SB! 80$ pre. also just bet pot on river. they should always be calling with Ax. and villain is right but this does show why its good to "float" with gutshots on flops and then pot river when we miss (or with bottom pairs). yeah.. river should definitely be a big size.

  • @jonathansykes4986
    @jonathansykes4986 Před měsícem

    QTs. interesting this is a 60/40 bet/check spot and it'd prefer to bet if you have backdoor flush draw outs (and sizing b40 ($15)). It does check sometimes with your exact hand (and other hands that are value (i.e. KJo).
    Turn is 67% pot with your hand. Also your range wants to check a lot on turn (80%) so it's only going to fire with some flush draws, 76 that are not diamonds, 54, and some A5, some Kx. So you did make the correct sizing on the turn.

    Yes, make it 4x preflop with a limper in there 100bb deep with the AJs. Especially when you have position. If it was UTG+1, it might be better to 3x but probably defaulting to 4x.
    Hard to say what bet size should be on flop with UTG in but if CO vs BTN, it should be around 1/4th pot. and you're going to bet this flop roughly 90% of the time.
    Turn is a pure (100%) bet for 40% pot. All your hands want to barrel this card so you need to get value from this card when you have Ax as well. Also missing bets from lower diamonds is disastrous. BTN can have a bunch of Ax hands. BTN is going to fold T-J-Q-K high hands on flop, so you can get value from these hands too. Unless BTN has slowplayed AQ/AK, your hand is usually going to be best. yes.. you're going to run into A9, A2, 22, 99 at times which sucks but those are so few hands compared to all the other hands you're going to get value from.
    If called on turn,, river is going to depend on what comes but default to pure betting with your hand.. Flush, 40%. Boat 100%. River 9, block bet 25%. Random 3-K card, 40%.

  • @jonathansykes4986
    @jonathansykes4986 Před měsícem

    KK fold is fine. Yeah you could be ahead but even if you're ahead of BB,, you still have btn to deal with. also tons of bad river cards. you probably win this hand like 10% of the time.

  • @gregoryschmidt3332

    Against 4+ limper ranges solvers go with 150% pot bet to extract max +EV and maximize fold equity, also deny equity to their overs, and balance your pre-flop 4-betting range so as to not be exploited by GTO villains. Go larger. Good luck in Vegas, the toughest place in the universe to grind low stakes streets as there are thousands of very strong regs grinding there daily all hoping to cool off a tourist

    77, calling out of the sb, it's close but fine. flop size would raise way larger seeking to get stacks in on turn for pot size jam. 120-130 raise size with eff stack size of 450$.
    calling flop with 77 should not even be in your mindset at all.

    • @panicpoker
      @panicpoker  Před měsícem

      Interesting,so you’re playing a two street game here postflop? I was thinking of having it all in by the river by I like turn jam better in the spot. Would $150 on flop be too large? Easier jam on turn and more likely to get called by villains top pair+ flush draw hands?

      @@panicpoker I'm all for making this a 2 street hand with so much in the pot and less that 100bb stacks (450). I'd bet 125 here, and if the turn is anything other than T/8/♠, I just jam turn.

    AKo is not always a pure 3-bet. You can definitely call here some of the time. Flop is fine. Turn is between 40% pot and check. Preference is to bet.
    River is a bet 100% of the time. 67% pot.
    you're just missing so much value from worse Kx, Jx or garbage pairs that don't believe you. Not sure how you can check this river and say you're going to bluff hands on flop like AT/AQ or spades.
    Yeah its going to suck if you get raised but you can have KJ in your hand. 55. JJ. Like even if those are your only bet / call a check raise river hand, you're still missing value.

I don’t hate folding that straight though, I think you made the right play (people don’t check raise rivers as bluffs at these stakes almost ever). $35 with JJ in SB. you're in worst position and 2x limpers. 20 / 25 is just way too small. 4-betting the BB with JJ is horrendous play and needs a solid read that he is a maniac.
    I don't know what BB is doing. His range should be pure betting flop and if called betting turn 75% of the time, and betting river 40% of the time. If he played like this and jammed river, your hand to call with is AQ spades (and/or AK spades that didnt 4bet pre), JJ, and mixing call/fold with QQ ((along with contemplating some calls with AJs)
    Your hand / range should be defaulting to pure checks.
    And the background comment, "tough to fold". No it's not. The amount of times this is worse than Ace high flush on this board is less than 5%. SB would have to be bet/3-bet turning AJ hands (Jx hands) into bluffs. Or turning 6x into bluffs. Bottom calling range here is 65s vs anyone who is not a complete maniac.
