Surprise Christmas Air Force Proposal at the Airport

- My little sister Emma hasn't seen her Fiancé in 100 days because he was at Basic Training after joining the Air Force early this fall. They knew they wanted to get married after he had been gone, so they decided to get married over the phone. Jon, her fiance, hasn't had the chance to properly propose to Emma until this morning at the Detroit airport.
Emma had help from one of our family friends who works for Delta. She got Emma a gateway pass so she could go through security and greet Jon at his gate. Emma thought she was going to be surprising Jon, but he was the one who put all of this together. In the video you will also see that had asked passengers of the plane to hand her a rose as they exited the plane. He was the last one to get off the plane and he was finally able to see Emma and properly propose to her. Enjoy and happy holidays everyone! - Zábava

Yes, I am British, Scottish actually, and served in the Army for 30 years. We had this "yes they're Americans" attitude to the US forces for a while whenever we had this kind of video, but I can assure you that I am a reformed man!! First time in the US last year for 40 years! Went to NYC - absolutely loved it! These videos are great, I love them. Stop putting onions in them, though!!!!

Robert Herrera It's because those 5 couples probably didn't know what real love is.. aka wife cheating or just something else that breaks it between them. People get married young but it works out.. My dad served in the Air Force. Moved to California while my mom was here in Pittsburgh still until she moved a year later and he proposed. Got deployed for desert storm months later and came back to my mom. And that's where I am today. All living happily in pittsburgh and now Im going through the process. just went to meps but got PDQ'd and got waivers luckily. I've been in love for the past two years and am awaiting to get a date scheduled for basic. So that's just an unlucky case that happened with your five friends. Love is love and if its real nothing will break it.

That's young Airmen for you. Hell, a good number of the guys under twenty in my Basic and Tech School flights were already married beforehand.
I'll let you guys in on a trade secret: far too many of our military men and women are completely brainless. Like you can be well below average intelligence and still join. I went to basic, I know what it's like. Just about every kid with a boyfriend or girlfriend gets married before shipping to basic or shortly after coming home from basic. I've seen kids together with their partner for like less than 6 months get married. So if you were ever curious about one of the many reasons military marriages more often fail, there you go.
