I'm so in love with this doll! You put so much effort into creating that posable tail and it really paid off! It looks so beautiful especially with that iridescent pigment. I also really love the way that her face looks both creepy and seductive, and all of the rhinestones and details on her body, headdress, and jewelry are so precise and perfect!

Gabriella Welsh I feel like a bitch saying this but sirens were originally half bird half woman and the reason they are often confused with the mermaid is because of the Spanish name ( I believe it’s Spanish) and they lure sailors to their death. Please don’t hate me
@@anissahenrichs9945 it's okay, I don't think you were being rude. I actually do know that sirens were half bird people, I mean, when have you ever heard of a fish singing, y'know? The doll is still impressive and beautiful though, regardless of any mix ups.

It is a super common mixup I just like to (I don’t know what phrase to use) educate (maybe) on the differences. I know this is old, but the sirens song actually lulled the sailor into a trance(they see their greatest desire), and the sailor would begin swimming towards the siren. Odysseus survived because he was strapped down and couldn’t swim to the siren.

This is so stunning! I LOVE the tail! May I make a suggestion for any future sea creatures? I don't know if this will work, but what if you used clear nail polish or something to make the effect of water droplets on the skin? I've seen it done on nails and I was curious if it could be done on a doll too.

Dollightful used that technique a while ago to make 3D tears on her Banshee doll. It looks amazing.
Or hot glue drippings. I've used those to put fake raindrops on fake flowers in the past.

Holy hell, Elisa, I am totally mesmerized! This doll had to take ages to make but it's a time very well spent because she is a total deadly beauty! I may never get over the way how very elaborate your creations are (the detail with her hair being in strands as if she had it stuck together with salty sea water is brilliant) and the colour combination is simply lovely - I love that you used the chameleon nail powder on the tail (best use of the powder I have seen to this day) I thought it was going to be red by seeing the preview but this is so much more magical and haunting. Great job!

Wow! So beautiful! I thought you were just going to paint the sculpy tail, which would still have been cool, but you went the extra mile and casted it in resin!! Beautiful!!!
I’ve just been waiting for someone to do a ball jointed mermaid tail I’m so psyched.
And I love the resin casting, at first I thought you were being a bit extra - why not just paint it- but this is so much better from a practical standpoint. No obvious chipping around all those joints and now you can cast as many mermaid tails as you want. It’d be really cool to seethe different tails you could make playing around with colored resin

wow....I've watched so many nail videos using that duo-chrome pigment stuff but never imagined someone using it in a doll custom!! And just using it at the top of the tail and leaving the rest clear is SO!!! PRETTY!!! and the caviar beads are so delicate and pretty! and the way her choker falls over her shoulders is so pretty too!! oh my GOSH I love merpeople/sirens so much and this is such a beautiful example
