- This new exercise shows an evolving bass part in the left hand against back-beat chords in the right hand. The concepts of hand movement behind the exercise are covered in detail in my "Basic Free Hands Technique" DVD. For more about the DVD please see:

happy tapping - Hudba
I so enjoy your videos! I so wish I could play a stick!
Greg, this is amazing. You are teaching so many things in this. So well done and skillfully instructive. One. . . two . . ready . . . Go!
What he does with the bass part is the same as displacement of hands/feet in drum theory. Very well explained to help people that have at least a basic knowledge of music theory.

Thanks so much. Happy Tapping, Greg
Nice one, I'll be doing some work on that. Thanks for putting up these , really handy. ( like the DVD )
Thanks for the comment, glad it resonates!
Yeah, Diana, I learned a lot too, like I need to see a manicurist before filming! Great to hear from you.
It's a weird instrument like a pedal steel guitar. I saw Bruce Cockburn (the Canadian
Bob Dylan, but more psychedelic) play in Madison, Wisconsin & his bass player used
a stick. The band played a lot of reggaeish sounding stuff & sounded great. We were
tripping our brains out so it sounded better yet!
great
is possible to play bass lines with right hand too? mybe with a different tuning? thank you francesco
It I possible and really rocking to play two handed bass lines on the bass side...
