I had the issue with motor protection tpu being to close before, work some thick folded up paper, cardboard magazine or something in between your guard and the motor so its pushing the tpu out, then heat up your TPU with a hot air gun, when it cools it will it have relaxed away giving a little extra room

I dremeled my monster feet out a lot the first day I printed them. I knew for a fact that they would wedge up against the motors.
