    I just traded my 2006 1000cc fireblade in for the 2023 1000cc RR CBR, that 05 You have there is no joke, it's a monster! Beautiful Bike.

      @@headrace4863 The RR-R 2023 has the same engine as the RR but is factory tuned to be faster apparently and let me tell You the RR is already too fast for me not sure who could want anything faster unless You plan on racing baghtis every day.

      @@amazingvideo2869 The RR-R motor is quite different from the RR. It has the same bore and stroke as the RC213 GP bike, the changes from the RR are extensive.

    This is a great video, can hear the bike perfectly and can hear you speaking too, absolutely great. I got the 2001 Fireblade, my first supersport bike and I absolutely love it, but been contemplating going up to this model.

    'The last model before ABS became optional" is incorrect. The 06-07 rr6/rr7 still came without ABS or traction control and no option to have it either.

    • @headrace4863
      @headrace4863  Před 2 měsíci

      Many thanks. The 06/07 are still SC57 models, with only minor bodywork etc changes, with abs optional following the model code. Yep, absolutely correct and thanks for the info, agreed. 👍

    I do remember seeing this for sale but as i said in the last post i have one already.. on the loud exhaust front i do have a full system on mine but do tend to ride with the bung in just to tone it down a bit, ill admit with it out it sounds savage but does have an effect on the way you ride, another point i had a go on an electric bike recently and i was genuinely concerned crossing T junctions with no noise whatsoever i really at that point felt the noise was missing, and in regard to them having too much power again i think if you take into account that we have SUVs on the road now with upwards of 500hp and EV cars we need to power where it is to keep a balance , just my opinions , you do have a great example there though .

    • @headrace4863
      @headrace4863  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Again, excellent points. I guess one advantage of the gp system is I could baffle one silencer and leave one a bit more vocal, bit of a compromise. I guess a point with the 500bhp SUV’s is they weight he same as the SS Great Britain, but they still shift like the proverbial, true. Thanks again for the comprehensive comment, appreciated. 👍👍

    How comfortable would you say this is mate? I’m considering the gixxer 750 but I have a love for Honda. Put a lot of people say the 750 is very comfy for a sports bike so I’m in two minds atm.

      @@kentucky_brew3678 good question that… I’m 6.1” and about 90kg. By about the 2 hour mark, it’s time to get off for a leg stretch. Full tank is about 130 miles range, which is just about right. Once you’re back aboard then after about an hour it’s time for a break again. 2 up, like any sports bike, it’s very cramped. 👍

      Get a certificate of conformity from Honda 😉🫡 these definitely meet ULEZ. They were just idiots and did it off the year & euro standard not the actual emissions

    • @headrace4863
      @headrace4863  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Hi there, good to hear from you. 👍 It was located just a few miles away in Bournemouth. I was making some sneaky-beaky investigations when working on a deal with Ducati, and one thing led to another. Bit of a lucky find, wasn’t it. As you’d expect for a 14k mile Honda, it rides like it was just un-crated. 👍👍

    Hi, have you tried a 2003 blade 954? I had one and loved it but not been able to get on the 1000rr under seat exhaust bike to compare.

    • @headrace4863
      @headrace4863  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hi there. Yep, both 929 and 954. Probably the best balanced road/sports bike I’ve ever ridden. The RR4 onwards (like this RR5) are a very different machine and not quite as aimed at the road. If you have a 954, keep it. They’re awesome.👍

    Ha, just after you said about shutting up and concentrating a bit, I knew I recognised that sweeping left off the roundabout! Do that route regularly and that one plus the one continuing the 36 are favourites of mine :D In fact, this video was posted about the same time I got my 06, bloody cracking bike. Curious, where do you take it to the track? Have yet to see what's actually local and beginner-friendly.
