"Apparently I am."
Oh the snark.
Raziel can be seen in four different instances: Wraith, Sarafan, Wraith Blade and the Soul Reaver itself
Actually, the soul reaver was filled with the Wraith Blade. This is technically 3 instances.
If you notice after the fight, in the monologue, the wraith blade is still bound to Raziel's arm, then moves to the physical sword. The biggest question is whether or not this variant of the physical Reaver already has Raziel's soul inside it. Based on the fact that it is discussed in earlier scenes how at this point it is a blood draining weapon, I don't think any version Raziel's soul is inside yet... so the Reaver isn't yet the soul eating the weapon we've come to known until later.
@@chuckingreaper8654 If you mean that you think the physical Reaver already has a version of Raziel's soul inside it, this would still be 4 instances... Wraith Raziel, Sarafan Raziel, Raziel's soul inside the Reaver, and Raziel's soul as the wraith blade still attached to Raziel's arm until after the fight.
'History Abhors a Paradox'
Bad enough that Raziel murdered his former human self, who was much more of a monster then compared to when he ended up becoming a vampire, and from a vampire to a soul devouring wraith. But to find out that he would become the ravenous spirit incarcerated within a vampiric sword, that's a heavy burden to bear.
Oh yeah. He was lucky that Kain managed to stop what happened there and then... even if the paradox caused from Kain saving Raziel caused a massive shift in the timeline that lead to the events of Blood Omen 2 and why Kain tries to warn Raziel that Janos Audron must stay dead.
What was so monstrous about Human Raziel?
@@Ares99999 The fact he was once blinded by a fanatical devotion to exterminate all vampires as a Sarafan knight, in addition his future self harboured no prior memories of his human life when he became a vampire through Kain's sorcery and later as a soul devouring wraith. So when witnessing his former self murdering Janos along with the rest of his former brethren, Raziel was paralysed with horror at this revelation unfolding before his very eyes. He was mired with grief and eventually consumed by an unbridled sense of self loathing as Janos died in his arms.
Sarafan Raziel doesn't know how bad he burned himself.
That setup took a game and a half for the payoff.
"Apparently I am "
Lol. Imagine needing 3 whole ass games to set up a 'no u' joke. Amy Henning was a menace. 🤣
Never noticed Raziel is literally standing inside an orobouros
Another thing is that wrath raziel doesn't step into it until the fight starts which is potentially a visual representation of him being outside the wheel of life and death while his human self is still part of that cycle
But since Raziel killed his past human self,
I wonder why he didn’t disappear forever?
I mean after Kain killed William the Just,
The war throughout all of Nosgoth has been prevented but the annihilation of the Vampire race happened because of the Time streamer Moebius,
Which leaves Kain as the last surviving member of his species and that’s why he refused the sacrifice.
And like in The Terminator if the Terminator kills Sarah Connor before John was born,
He will no longer lead the resistance in the future.
Because that was always how human Raziel died - by his own vampire-turned-wraith hand.
@@CoyoteMao I see so that means the timeline is correct.
Thank you for the information.
I also believe this is how the soul reaver and Raziel physical form split. This is why the sword needed to be reunited in Defiance.
they should have let you a good/hard boss fight
The Dead Shall Rise must happen around this timeline, isn't it?
Raziel kills raziel whit raziel
