Great help, visiting Tenerife soon and staying for quite a few weeks so this really helps us budget. Thank you!
Love the way you say ' I might get some Donuts as a treat'.... It's more of an almost daily staple necessity for you rather than a treat🤣
😂
Hahaha 🤣 i dont have them daily 😆
😂😂
I'd be the same
Thank you for this blog and the difference in prices between supermarkets
Thank you 😊
Great video, with the cost of living crisis it's great for you show the prices, love a Aldi n Lidl 🙂
Thank you, stride on 😊👍🏽
It was a very good shopping blog of your visit to the new Lidl supermarket in Adeje today andrew and Laura
Thank you, stride on 😊👍🏽
Like your vlog very well spoken and you give load of good information
That’s one thing I like about Lidl is the fresh bakery counter. There seems to be more choice there than our local UK Lidl. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you 😊
Impressed by the stock & prices there we have both Aldi & Lidl nearby there are similar items apart from the Spanish products but there are still a lot of items cheaper there especially The wine & alcohol prices were so low - dangerous 😂 very interesting Thank you both for sharing 👍💖
Great vlog, thank you. I buy Felix cat food in Asda it’s £4.00 wish it was as cheap as over there
Thank you 😊 interesting
Also, keep up the amazing content! You are great. :D
Thank you 😊
I prefer Aldi to Lidl but that’s just my preference Andrew 😊 thanks for showing us this it was interesting 👍🏻🥰
Thank you 😊
Great vlog 😊
Thank you, stride on 😊👍🏽
Let's goo been waiting for this 😎
Thank you, stride on 😊👍🏽
@@TheKnightStrider stride on Andrew been 10 year since I've been tenerife and also my last hoilday this time coming over with a wife hope we bump into you
Great to see you comparing the 2 supermarkets. Good competition between them. The Horchata Valencia milk was almond milk by the way, it's always dearer, even in the UK. Good range overall and great to see some Spanish products. Thanks for showing us this.
Thank you, stride on 😊👍🏽
The Horchata is not Almond milk, it's Tiger nut milk.
Oh I do love a middle isle in Lidl 👍🏻all the things you can’t live without 😂
Haha defo 😆
In Hailsham, a town nearby to me there is an Asda, Tesco Extra and a Waitrose all within a stones throw from each other! Always good to see a comparison video, question is, do the cashiers in the Tenerife Lidl whiz the shopping through so fast you just have to chuck it into the trolley and re-pack it once you've paid, like they (and Aldi) do in the UK!!!!! Haha
Hahaha 🤣
here in cork lidl have the lidl plus app for for discounts and sometime free stuff
Thats nice!
great vid
Thank you 😊
After years of collecting products from different manufacturing plants i can say everything is the same but put into different packaging. Some have a slight change in ingredients but majority of stuff is repackaged
looks a good shop
Thank you 😊
Bakery counter is a winner for me, non of that where I'm from, in Yorkshire, and looks cheaper than the UK great vlog Andrew 👍
For sure 👍🏽
walking stick same AS I bought mine at ALDI in MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA
It depends what you buy need to shop around 🤔 toiletries I like bm or home and bargain 👍👍👍
I Love the Purple 💜 wine 🍷 and the Chocolate 🍫 and Washing Gel
Nice 😊
Thanks 💜🐧
We have a Aldi and Lidl like this. They opened on exactly same day 😂 bonkers
Thank you 😊
yes I always mix up ALDI and LIDL lol. See you soon when we arrive :)
We are coming out 3rd of November can't wait hope to see you we are staying Los cristiano paradise hotel x
P
Thanks 😊
Hi guys,I think some of the prices are cheaper there than the UK but what I did find 100% better there was the fact the shelves were fully stocked as every time we go to out local lidl is rubbish and alot of the shelves are empty👌👍
Thank you 😊
I love Aldi more than Lidl but they're both great 👏 👏
Thank you 😊
I much prefer Aldi Andrew. I definitely think they have more selection. 🥰🌞🥰xxx
In Albufeira, Portugal they are just across the street from each other.
Thank you 😊
I am from iceland and 1 donut in store is around 1 euro and 30 cents then around 2 and 3 in a bakery. Meat in iceland is around 10 euros to 30 euros. But kg in iceland of meat is around 60 euros. And pizza is always sold frozen in stores for 4 or 7 euros.
I found with Lidl it seemed cheaper but the portions on some things where smaller and the fruit was smaller than in other supermarkets ,but that was here not in Spain .
Interesting 🧐
We will definitely try & visit Lidl when over. “Cien”is there own brand and there liquid soap & sun screen is very good. Oh so is there own brand of ice cream, “gelatelli”. Is it possible to get there by bus? Thank you
Yes you can 😊
Do like those juicers in the supermarkets out in Tenerife, can't say I've seen any in the UK,tbh i do prefer the Mercadona
Mercadona cheaper
Very good prices I don’t shop much in Lidl it is further away from me, so not sure of our prices xx
Fair enough
Lora looked good with her eye lashes
Thank you 😊
That Lidl has a much better lay out since it's been refurbished. I went to the Aldi opposite there at the weekend and it was much busier. They overcharged me 1.60eur for 1 onion, should have been 1.60 for a kilo!!. Lucky I checked the receipt in the car park before we left. I went back and the man on the till apologised and gave me 1 20eur cash back, which was good customer service.
Good job you checked
We shop in Lidl over here and you seem to have a bigger choice over there
Thank you 😊
hello knight,
is it possible to live in los cristianos/americas ?
are there people who live there or is it only for tourism ?
thank you for your great videos :)
Yes 👍🏽
Reminds me of Burger King being opposite to a McDonald's on Castle Street Liverpool.
Thank you 😊
We have them opposite in Honiton in Devon. Ridiculous 😂
Crazy lol 😆
I Love Purple 💜 it's My Favourite Colour 💜
👍🏽😊
Thanks 💜🐧
Have you got a euro spar there very good for gluten free
We shop at both Aldi and Lidl, unfortunately in the last month our local Lidl has on one occasion had no milk and repeatedly not had Greek yogurt, fruit and fibre cereals and factor 50 suncream.
Thank you 😊 thays a shame
Hi can you tell me what the exchange rate is for uk £ in Los Cristianos I am coming on 20th September.
On the Island is there an
" El Cortes " supermarket
and do they compete with the german's Aldi & Lidl
on price ?
Christy 🇮🇪/🇵🇹 👍
@@philwanadoo7435
Hi there ,
the "El corte ingles "
has a supermarket called
" Supermercados "
" Supercor " they can be stand alone supermarkets
or within an El Cortes store
like Lisbon city location .
Christy 🇮🇪/🇵🇹 👍
IN Australia WE got ALDI not LIDL
Those L'Or Colombia capsules are £2.50 for 10 in Waitrose, so £5 for 20, makes it about 5.73 EUR so for 7.42 EUR it's expensive!
👍
😊👍🏽
Andrew no comparison with the middle aisle of aldi , not a lilo in sight 😂
Thank you 😊 lol
I’m sure 2 German brothers own Lidl and Aldi
Thank you 😊
Nestcafe gold nearly £8 in asda
Not bad at all milk def cheaper, do like mercadonia xx
Yes i agree
How far from las americas is this please
10 minute taxi
Oh love cheese
Loads in there lol
How much is the limoncello out there because its around £13-£15 a bottle in the uk and normally that’s only 50cl? 😱
Lemoncello is usually a high price, even sometimes on duty free. Its because its an Italian (sicillian) product with a high labour cost to produce and heavy import tax. Id say expect similar prices on imported spirits and liquors.
Fanta lemon £1.20 a small bottle
One thing I've noticed comparing your Aldi and Lidl videos is that Lidl stick to the same brands (W5, Cien etc) in different countries, while Aldi try and create their own local sounding brands for what is pretty much the same products.
Yes, some of those products are good too
@@TheKnightStrider I swear by both Aldi and Lidl in the UK.
The tube of pringles in Aldi (not on offer) is 1.54, but Lidl one is in offer (same price), so technically the price of a tube of pringles in Aldi is cheaper than Lidl
Thank you 😊
How much in taxi from Las America's to aldi
€10
Blimey that’s handy Lidl and Aldi opposite, unusual !
Crazy lol
Well some items are ok but they are mostly known in Germany and quality is so so
Thank you 😊
Not this cheap back home h
Just had one build buy me Angela from south Wales united kingdom Soo rather Aldi x
Thanks 😊
1,87 per can here heineken
Not too bad
way to go choclate is 2 euro here
Thank you 😊
How come you pronounce "Adeje" as "Adeki"?
Because i can 😊
@@TheKnightStrider no it was a serious question, I thought maybe it was an local dialect thing for costa adeje. So basically you are pronouncing it wrongly on purpose right? It's not a dig just genuinely want to know haha
Alcohol is so much cheaper there than in the UK.
Not unless it's cheddar 🤣🤣🤣🤣
a lot of stuff there is cheaper than here in ireland but then again this country of mine is a rip off
Some cheap some expensive
Looks cheaper than here
Thank you 😊
Horchata is a mexican drink is not a cow milk it's a drink made of nuts
It's not mexican, it's from Valencia Spain. Arabic heritage. Tiger nut milk.
Thank you 😊
Your Lidl’s bakers is better than uk
Thank you 😊
Dont know about anyone eles but i find Lidle over priced in the uk.. like a watrose version of aldi.
Thank you 😊 interesting 🧐
