Adoudou, thank you so much for the laughter that you've brought to me and the Haitian community. Your humor is such a blessing.
Also, I want to apologize for all the hurt and hypocrisy that you've experienced in the SDA church. The man who told you to take off your Santa hat; how wearing jewelry is portrayed as a sin; and how Catholics were bad mouthed around you was not ok.
I can somewhat relate to your story. I remember being strong on that notion about Catholics that I didn't attend my baby cousin's christening, and my aunt even asked me to do the prayer for this event. The Lord had to take me through some highs and lows to allow me to truly understand Him for myself and to develop a personal relationship with Him.
Not all in the SDA church will be saved, and Jesus says that He has sheep that are not of this fold (John 10:16). As you grow deeper in your walk with Him, I pray that it grows sweeter and sweeter as He reveals His truths to you and liberates you (John 8:32) from any false ideologies that you learned as you were growing up in the SDA church.
    God bless you!

My parents aren't Adventist but I became Adventist as a child. I think most of those are experiences in the Haitian Adventist church not the entire denomination. I hate that the sins of man represent the denomination.

I can bring the manual of the church if I had another interview. lol. I'd agree with you if you had said that Adventist are becoming more liberal now and more inclusive.

As a current practicing Adventist that grew up in a Haitian Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church, I totally understand his experience. However, when I went away for college over 20 yesrs ago, I started attending American Adventist churchs and saw many similarities, but there has been a shift in the SDA churches in America compared to the world Adventist church. Haitian Adventist is a culture in it self. Conservative practice of Christianity in Haiti and in Haitian community is a cultural if you really understand it, but the people make it religious. With patience and true study of the Word, I've noticed many older Haitian start to understand things differently.

It’s true what he said the way Haitian Adventist church think is so ridiculous-it’s the fact that pastor will stand on the pulpit and disrespect other church/religion. That is one of many things I don’t like because from my point of view it’s disrespectful. They think THEY’re going to heaven and the others are going to hell. They will smile at you everyday all day and then once they get home from church-all the bad things they want to say it’s gonna come out of their mouth.

And nou pap janm ka ini kan w ta vle a because vérité paka ini ak mansonj. Se nomal pou verite separe nou ak lòt legliz yo (I’m not saying that only Adventist will be saved) but through prophecy (nou se yon pèp pwofetik dayè) we know that we are GOD’s church, the last church, laodice who will have to preach the gospel to the world !!!
It’s not about rejecting the other churches but it’s about knowing who we are and our mission as GOD’s church !!!

You contradict yourself in your own statement again. You said "I'm not saying that only daventist will be saved" you know you are lying because you demanti yourself in your own words. let me follow your logic. 1- you said Verite paka ini ak mansonj. You separate yourself (adventist,Verite) with other churches (mansonj) are you saying that Mansonj will go to heaven? I know God say that only those who follow him will go to heaven, and those who follow him are part of the True church.
Dezyeman You continuously make that false and proud claim that adventist are God's true church. a claim with no biblical basis or foundation. A claim that white people invented. Your mission was given by sister white not the Bible. Good day.

Yup!! All Haitian religious groups say that about each other. They also criticize everything you do and question what is holy vs. what is not.
Adventists say that because they follow the Law of Moses vs. the rest of us
