Samantha Jane I love this video! I'm looking for a medium coverage foundation for textured & dry skin. It's been a struggle. I have quite a few to try now! Thx!!
I'm really interested in brands that are natural / non-toxic. Im slowly trying but a lot more misses than hits. Help! It seems like there aren't many options for brown skin. At least I'm having a hard time finding those.

I went into sephora, desperate for help regarding foundation to cover my acne. The woman literally told me “you know that’s a skincare issue, foundation won’t solve it” and I was genuinely confused and offended. I needed a foundation to cover the acne while I am treating it (I mean, I have tried everything and I keep trying and spending $1000’s of dollars - my acne won’t go away) and I felt so sad in that moment because I felt like she thought I was stupid or something or the worst assumption - that people with acne don’t wash their face. Ugh! Thanks for the video :)

If you’re looking for super glowy highlighters that don’t have glitter & emphasize texture try Becca highlighters. Milani has good drugstore ones as well. stick to matte blushes, wet n wild, tarte & colourpop make good matte blushes that last really well. Also setting spray will be your bff ! It helps everything melt into the skin & smooth texture

Because of your videos, I purchased Physician's Formula (once they finally expanded their range). OMG I can hardly believe the shade, DN4 is perfect. I agree with you...if I demand a greater shade range for WOC (and I do) the least I could do is purchase the foundation if the company expands to my shade. So, done! with a pleasant surprise. Just wanted to drop you a note regarding. Hopefully, Physician's Formula will "feel the love" and continue to expand shade ranges. Thanks for all your efforts in this area!

I was so ready to not like the physician’s formula foundation, but it has become my everyday wear go to. I’m a total oily skin type, and I live in a very hot and humid city. I have never tried anything by this brand until now, since they expanded their shade range. I cannot believe how good this formula is for me. I work in healthcare so no time for touching up, and this one holds up with maybe once blotting if that.

When I was a teenager (in the 80s), Clinique had a water based foundation. One of my friends back then had severely cystic acne and her mom took her to Clinique to get skincare and makeup. I remember how nice it made her skin look, even with her breakouts. That is also when my love for skincare was birthed. I saw what a difference the skincare and a lightweight foundation did for her and was amazed. But... even with the best skincare money can buy - you WILL still have breakouts. That's just life. I so appreciate this video. 💖

Thank you so much. I’ve been struggling with cystic acne for 5 years and i’ve spent 3 of those years going to a dermatologist and getting treatment for my acne. But absolutely nothing has helped me and I feel trapped in my skin and super insecure. I really hope I can find a foundation that will help so that I can get out of this depression that my skin has caused me to have.

I love the Physician's Formula foundation. I use it with Loreal magic perfecting primer & it looks so good! I give it a 4/5. My makeup tends to look better during the cooler weather vs hot. I'm interested to see how this foundation holds up with high humidity, which has been a problem for me.

Thank you for this! I was talking to my mom today and abruptly she pointed out my skin and if I was trying toner (yes), witch hazel (yes), hydrating (yes)... 😩 made me feel she couldn’t talk to me without only seeing the bumps on my face, and I was wearing foundation. I know what causes it: excess sugar, coffee, and soda but it’s like IM HUMAN and should I give these things up just to make her feel comfortable to look at me? What the hell? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m such an amateur to makeup and every time I enter a store to get foundation I instantly become overwhelmed the moment I walk into a store... first there’s so many brand options then all the colors. This video has narrowed it down a bit.

Thank you for this! I have a lot of cratered acne scars on my chin and forehead and temples and cheeks near my nose. I bought the tarte rainforest of the sea foundation which has a satin finish and good coverage. It looked amazing on pretty much everyone else. But it emphasizes texture on my face and the depressions. And seems to create dry patches.
