Congratulations on being the first with the rooftop conversion. My big question is what does the rooftop weight? Additionally what materials are used in its construction? Is the roof heavily insulated? Will installation void factory warranty? Lastly what will it cost installed?

Not sure about the look of this - kind of 'ambos' the Grenadier
It seems quiet high, wouldnt it be better and cheaper to just install a regular roof top tent? The whole point of a pop up roof is to make it look thin and light so we dont need to add roof rack plus a RTT.
The whole point of a pop top is to create space so you can sleep in it without having to get out of the vehicle to get into the vehicle. That you can stand upright in the vehicle and, for example, change clothes in a certain privacy. This also has the advantage that, for example in cooler regions, you can heat the vehicle including the sleeping area more easily while you are traveling. The thickness of the mattress is what makes a high-quality sleeping roof. Because the front area of the roof between the A and B pillars of the Grenadier cannot be removed and the original roof remains there, this area determines the height at which the mattress will rest. It is often the case that you want to store your duvets in the roof, which also means that you need more space up there.
So they clearly followed the rule "form follow function" and didn't just create a pop-up roof with lousy sleeping quality that just looks fancy.

At 00:59 you can see they're still there - the roof inside is cut behind the front crossmember, leaving the roof console intact.
