Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. I can just imagine the pirate walking into the veteran like "Yarr! An honorable duel!" And the veteran just eyes him like "Really?" Before blasting the pirate's pillion off.

My gosh, I've been playing this game for at least 3 years (Probably more honestly), and I just realized the Disconnect symbol is of a plug getting pulled. I always though it was of a bird flying away, showing the player had left.

D0 I revealed as mayor on a whim (wasn't aware of achievement)
N1 I was jailed and protected against mafia and SK
I was never protected nor attacked again after that night (TP still alive)
Eventually town lost all possible TP, it came down to 4 people (1 GodFather, 2 Town, Me)

At this point I was ready to face death like I had been N2

... I quite literally said this "Why didn't you kill me, who has been revealed since the beginning? Who didn't have protection past night one?"
I hung the GF, disappointed in the town, the maf, the sk, and especially the GF in their answer I recieved as "They forgot"... And then I, the sole surivor of the town recieved the achievement I didn't even know existed

A doctor selfing n1 instead of going on literally anyone (since I can understand not trusting the BG claim) leans dumb or new
@@lorathian self heal is useless, unless you are absolutely certain you will die (such as from poison). even then if you are only TP it's better to die and heal confirmed town like a jailor.

I mean, 9 was a pretty solid shot once Blackmailer dropped. The only way for it to have been a disg game at that point was for it to be 4 maf and the third RM had to be framer or consig wasting a night.

Hey I was in this game! I was the Solo Necro! GGs, super new to Coven Town of Salem.
I feel like quitting mid game should come with a time out penalty if there isn't one. Like an hour for quitting mid game unless you died already.
ToS, like many other games, can’t differentiate between an intentional ditch and, say, your internet or power going out
If someone leaves while alive, you report them and the Trial System takes it from there. That said, Leaving is usually only guilty by admission so folks whose power went out or had a freak internet outage don’t get in trouble. An exception to this is if it happens often enough form a pattern (such as leaving every time you get maf or something) because the pattern itself becomes admission.
@@lorathian then they can have a timer, if you don't try to join a different lobby within 10 minutes, then they ignore it. If you try to join a new lobby/game within 10 minutes, they give you a warning. Then if you do it again within an hour, then you get timed out for an hour.

i know you can get a penalty for ditching queues/lobby before the game (it's a matter of seconds, but it's for deterring lobby-stalling)

also, ten minutes is a *massive* punishment for an internet blip or your power going on for a hot second
even Overwatch doesn't start implementing its leaving punishments until you do it a few times in a single session

Town innoed me ( amne didn’t cc )
N3 i Hexed a exe claim ( so they wouldn’t see a hex master kill )
There was 2 more sks alive who killed mayor
In the end, it was exe (hexed n3) , hm, sk( who I hexed n4 ) and the amne vet

We lynched the amne vet ( they thought I was the other sk ) and I got a hex bomb lol

Actually just had a solid vigilante game in regular all any.
N3 was my first shot where I shot a jester, since a confirmed invest saw them as framer vamp jest.
N4 I shot a person who people thought to be suspicious, claimed vet with no kills, was risky but they turned out to be ambusher.
D5 Some idiot decided to claim my shot on the ambusher… I CCed but town was passive so no one was voted.
N5 I shot the idiot and somehow didn’t die to mafia that night. They were mafioso. I was confirmed by then but I also ran out of bullets.
Later that game we voted off the last mafia. They were incredibly stupid to not kill me because I was confirmed x3 but oh well. My back hurt from carrying. (We also had a hidden mayor so they would’ve lost anyway lol.)

But tbh 8 out of 10 of those games, i end up helping town win. Townies work better when they have some direction.
That said, the last time I got mayor I revealed d1,
lynched three evils in a row, get killed, ret didn’t use BG to save me because “they didn’t vote me as their mayor”,
and like two other people said I sucked as mayor???

Hey Pipe, I feel like in the first game, the Medium could've been playing on Mobile, which doesn't have the ability to copy and paste.
You still have the option to copy paste on mobile. It just isn't a button like on PC.

I had a sort of carry as trans a few days ago. Mayor reveal day 1, figured he was gonna get murdered, and I swapped him with a jest. Fast forward to the end of the game, i finally claim trans and figured i was gonna get targeted by maf since we lynched a false trans claim, and i was sus of 10, so I swapped myself with 10, and caused him to suicide. The mayor actually survived either the whole game or close to it, and he nearly threw the game by not voting at key points because he was scared, but we won that game.

ngl game 1 I'd have shot 11. Self-healing N1 instead of being on the BG claim that's on a revealed mayor? dk, seemed fake with no heals. I'd have died to guilt though and lost Town the game. First time in a bit I've been so convinced that a play Pipe didn't make was correct, and I'd have def lost for it. Welp.

i know almost nothing about this game, but as a gamer point of view, i suppose that the juggernaut can get power by attacking people ? so attacking disconnected people, that's an easy way to get more powerful. Don't know how effective that would be...

Most notable is forger, since you can forge people who leave at certain points d1 that night and it can lead to some hilarious shenanigans if the forger is clever
Last time there was a d1 leaver, I forged them as my own exe and got away with it lmaoooo

You don't have to trust the day 1 BG claim in CAA. I do think the self heal makes you look sus but not being on the BG doesn't.
After all I've been burned by a few arsonists claiming BG on day 1 before.

I don't play, just watch videos. Can someone explain why, when he thinks the person on trial could be a jester but wants them hanged anyway, he innos instead of abstains? It seems like just not voting would also be a safe option that doesn't accidentally tip the scales towards an inno vote. Is there something I'm missing?
Jester can haunt anyone who abstains or guilties them, inno is safe.

Quick question, if you are part of the mafia how do you respond to being asked your role?
Lie. Claim something you can reasonably fake/confirm yourself with. If you must, claim something that will allow you to get off the stand/survive jail.
Never or rarely claim something that is part of your invest results unless you believe an invest has checked you.
Generally speaking, you never want to end up on the stand as Maf, so if you see the town is pretty active/likely to VFR, then claim and claim early, esp if you plan to claim Sheriff or Invest or a ballst LO or Spy. Info results like those four tend to be expected to claim early and claim to either a confirmed townie (for example, a LO or Jailor in game would count) in whispers or publicly (Invest/Sheriffs post results in whispers if the target they invested is dead).
If you're claiming a TP and you're a visiting maf like Framer or Consig, then visit the target you claim to visit. If you're Bmer or Cons, it's a bit harder to pull off so be careful. If a LO comes out, then stay on the person you claim to be on. If you think there are other TPs in the game, claim doc or BG, but if Coven game and you think you're the only one or claim early, Crus is a nice claim. Just have to be careful.
Esc is a bit harder to pull off, but it's not impossible. (just don't claim esc as cons and claim you rbd the people you actually rbd, that is a fast way to get hung)
Vigi is generally only a good claim for GF, since GF can survive another Vigi shooting them and potentially throw the mislynch onto the Vigi.
Basically, it depends on what your role is and what role you plan to claim. Watch a few of Pipe's Maf videos for an idea of what he typically claims and how he plays outside of just claiming that helps him guarantee the win.
This is why you have a fake claim or claims lined up. But you also don't claim to just anyone if they aren't claiming to you. You only claim to confirmed towns since not claiming to them is very sus.
