Rob definitely made this card, so he could do some impressions
He's so shy about it tho
well in that case the meeting would probably have also included Ronnie Corbett.
@@westy4973 lol
â@westy4973 Who is the odd one out ? Bono,Clinton or Obama? Answer Bono the other two are war criminals Bono just endorses war criminals đź
So why didn't he do any then? đđ
Harry Shearer is such a legend. From Spinal Tap and those great Guest comedy mockumentaries to Simpsons - he made our youth so much better. What a top bloke
Heck of a bass player too!
Duh...Wayne's World
IF HE'D ONLY BEEN IN 'TAP'&,THE TAP.BEEN ON THE SIMPSONS..STILL A REAL LEGEND..&,WHAT A GREAT SPORT.TO LET EM EAT SHITAKE.SHROOMS BRITS.ERE GUV .MR BURNS HA YRS N YRS OF BEING ON TSMS.IS LIKE NOBLE PRIZE TO ME GOLD.HARRY .LOL.â€đđ
Animalympics too. Absolutely brilliant
He did some voicework in the 70âs too. In a little indie classic by the title of Star Wars.
" I did not release those hounds."...Excellent!
I'm impressed with Rob, that was a good Clinton impersonation.
He's a professional impressionist too (and singer, and comedian, etc), so yeah. Guy's super talented across the board.
It genuinely was
unrealđđŸ
That was the highlight of the clip đ
I agree. Really noticeable when heâs good at something.
Everyone forgot his roll in Wayne's World as Handsome Dan. He was epic.
Aha
And the joke was that he wasnât actually that handsome
one of my fave impressions
Or in the Matthew Broderick Godzilla movie.
He wasnât in Wayneâs World. He was in Wayneâs World 2. Thatâs why nobody knows about it, and rightly so. That movie sucked and bombed.
Take âer down Smithers
But youâre flying, sir
Excellent
Rob's Clinton was pretty good.
plot twist that wasn't mr burns it was mr Snrub
Harry Shearer, the voice of Mr. Burns and Smithers, on Would I Lie To You?; he is so funny voicing his iconic Simpsons characters. :)
Even better are his roles in all of Chrisopher Guest's films! Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, This is Spinal Tap...highly recommend you go down a rabbit hole đ
Lee Mack has such a superbly fast comedic mind đ€Ł
Harry Shearer has finally reached the age of Mr Burns
102?
Long live Spinal Tap!
He was so good. I've seen this clip before and I still got it wrong.
âBono like Mickey Mouse theres one on each continentâ đđ
I like how his normal voice sounds like Principal Skinner
Ah! Super Nintendo Chalmers
I was really hoping that the question at 0:26 was going to be "And why was Bono there?"
Itâs just as well Robâs impressions are excellent. He does love to shoehorn them in.
he really needs to not push it. he is already 'that little dog that's allowed on the couch'
â@nunyanunya4147 He is there to set up jokes.... is he really supposed to ONLY guide the game forward?
All impressionists do. A while ago Rory Bremner was MC at a concert of music from Gerry Anderson shows. He did a few impressions of characters from them, fair enough. But he kept doing ones like Boris Johnson etc for no reason.
â@@zacmumblethunder7466That's a great point, you mentioned Bremner and he was the worst at this, unfortunately. He used to repeat that awful joke about John Prescott's take on poor Claire Short's early opposition to the Iraq war, years after her speech in the house of commons. I think he loved the concept of John Prescott as a 1970s sexist stand-up, despite the fact it didn't really work, and the line just wasn't funny - "they wouldn't let that much meat out of the country without a licence".
@@jamesthecat Oh, dear, I've just realised it was John Culshaw, not Bremner. But the point is the same.
Actually, I'm not sure that they're not the same person anyway.
I used to love impressionists when I was a kid, now if a show has got one on, I turn off.
There's a smugness about them as well, as though being able to imitate someone's voice puts them in a special position.
Tom Jones always starts with a HUH đ€Ł
So perfect how he could create a believable exchange between Smithers & Burns with little effortâŠ
Harry Shearer is incredible in A Mighty Wind.
Say the line Bart!
So surreal having Harry Shearer on. I mean Simpsons has now passed into mythology as an example of the best American (and by extension through adoration, UK) culture has produced in this period. It will be remembered for generations I guarantee it.
Ecxxxxxcellent! đđ
Hello Cleveland!
Ha! I knew it. Harry's a creative genius. His imagination is way more interesting than anything at the White House. Too good to be true.
How did Harry get to be such a good Mr Burns impersonator?
Great comment. Assuming you're joking...?
@@ruk2023-- Obviously
Maybe he knows Mr Burns.
Love Harry Shearer. Check out his series 'Nixon's The One' - so good .
Just say the line....
"I didn't do it"
YAAAAAAAY!
Should be the new definitive way of electing presidents in the USA really, WHO DOES THE BEST BURNS IMPRESSION... i mean, the latest candidates are just somewhat younger than the actual Mr Burns anyways.
The older he gets, the more like Mr Burns he looks.
In actual fact, it was Clinton that did the best Montgomery impression
I felt Rob could have clarified for the benefit of Harry; Dale Winton may have been a queen, but he wasn't the Queen.
Is Waylon Smithers Jr is pretty good.
It would be so funny if Harry asked for 50 bucks after each impression lol or in this case pound đ·
Simpson ey, new man?
Harry Shearer at 80 sounds like a Mr.Burns impression that's not quite there these days.
He's terrible at it now. Listen to the most recent Mr Burns appearance on the show. Sounds like a bad impersonator
@@Eidlones I mean fuck him for being 80?
Haha hes a good sport
Not to toot my own horn, but soon as he said they have "four or five" of them I year, I knew it was a lie.
I'm surprised they didn't throw a Sean Connery impression
"Those 3 were finalists" is a thread that should've been pulled.
Imagine getting Obama to compete but telling him he's only in the opening round.
Who's out in the crowd? Smiling with mouth only, furious that they were eliminated and knowing Obama's was truly shit.
He looks like Mr burns
This looks like a job presentation from Rob. Just so the Simpsons people know he's got at voices
What an old clip
1:09 why do they look seated at some awful looking rollercoaster ride?
They are. Itâs a rollercoaster called Brydon Wonât Stop Doing Impressions.
It's called a 'panel show'. It's a popular comedy TV show format in the UK, and maybe other countries in Europe too.
@@DaProHobbit what does that have to do with roller coasters?
Because some fool gave a set designer too much money and too little instruction.
@@zacmumblethunder7466 yes it looks like it haha
Heâll be invited this year you watch. CZcams and social media is where the White House finds all its intelligence from marketing and everything else
It was believable until they said Bono but always great to see Derek Smalls.
It was Ted Cruz
I can't imagine Clinton being that good at ANY impression.
Canât imagine you being good at anything, including being a keyboard warrior.
He probably do a decent version of himself.
He did a pretty good impression of the president
â@@johnmc3862He can probably do an indecent version of himself.
first
*So, this is basically Britain's version of "Hollywood Squares" minus the squares.*
No, blankety blank is closer to Hollywood Squares.
â@@skillarchy81Celebrity Squares in the 1970s was the UK version of Hollywood Squares. It was controversial in it's day, as it was the first UK game show to offer ÂŁ1,000 as top prize.
This was when cash prize shows were making ÂŁ27 sound like a life changing amount.
Bob Monkhousevpresented it, and the money was brought on in a briefcase by a iniformed security guard.
@@zacmumblethunder7466 It's funny there's only like 3 years between when Bob Monkhouse was making a big deal about a ÂŁ6400 grand prize, and the premiere of WWTBAM with a ÂŁ1,000,000 grand prize that gave someone ÂŁ64,000 on the first night.
No, Harry. It's the people's house. You could have given the prize to anyone.
Why is that peep show guy clapping he just lost? Wehn you lose you should look sad, crushed, and defeated so the winner can revel ALL UP in it.
It's considered good sportsmanship to applaud the winner.
I dunno, having fun maybe?
Yay, two war criminals having fun.
Ffs mate⊠way to ruin the mood
â@@RedViper9 Yes, what's the big problem with reminiscing about beloved mass murderers? Maybe next time they'll speak fondly of Kim Jong, Adolf, MBS, and Netanyahu.
â@@aliasgharkhoyee9501well, maybe some of us are not watching British panel shows because we want to be reminded of dysfunctional American politics.
Do you do birthday parties?
The story wasn't even true, you nacissistic dipsh*t.
wow British TV really sucks huh
British TV is so good you Americans copy it
Excellent joke!
