- I got a set of Flowmaster 50's when I bought my car and they were way to quiet for me. I ended up swapping them out for Spintech Pro Street 6000 mufflers. The sound is SOOO much better and it feels like a brand new car.
Learn from my mistake and don't get the 50 series. Spintech all the way. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Bro I’m living this sound!! Mine 2019 rt currently straight piped, I love how loud I just hate how raspy the tone is, I like the sound of the flowmaster and how deep it is but it just sounds like a Tin can and this is exactly what I’m looking for! Deep loud and no tin sounding!
Thanks for taking the time to do a comparison video. Really helped me in making a decision. I just got my r/t and love it so far. they really could have done better on the stock exhaust. my only complaint about the car.
Glad I came across your video. I'm currently looking to upgrade my 16 RT for more aggressive sound. I'll look into this one.
Joe: For the record your video sustained me while I was waiting for my '20 scat pack. Now that I have mine a while watching your video the spintech doesn't quite have the rasp I do with stock x-pipe and 2.75" mufflers, but it does sound really good. You got me thru 5 months of waiting for the scat when I ordered mine last year. Hope your still enjoying that B5 Blue. Mine is IndiGO blue. 👍
Nice! Ive also got prostreet 6k mufflers, the best note ive heard from a mopar. just got a set of shorty headers put on this morning, sounds amazing.
sounds great i have a 2012 rt i just put on the spintech pro street 6000 dual in dual out and it has a very deep mean sound going thru 2.5 pipes and dual 4 inch tips.
Quick queston, What inlet & outlet size did you choose?
hey joe, i just bought a 15 RT and really liking these pro street 6000s. Do you remember what configuration the muffler is?
What made you do the 6000s and NOT the 9000s. I've been trying to decide for 2 whole months now. maybe your insight can help me
How did you get the performance pages with the a tech tazer? For some reason I only get the page to switch btw sport, track, custom and default mod. I have the same exact charger
Sounds amazing
Love it
hello bro from one charger lover to another can you let me know what kind of muffler i would need
I just installed the Pro 9000 on my 2013 Ram Sport and it's awesome sound no comparison with the competition some drone but going to shut off MSD with Bullydog
How much did you spend on the spintech including installation?
Joe, sorry but i forgot to ask for the location of your mufflers, are your sointechs where the suitcase muffler used to be are where the rear resonators are,,,thanks
did yoi place the muffler in the middle, or where the resonators where in the back?
Hey Do you know what size is the stock muffler ? 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 ?
Might be a dumb question but does the pro 6000 come in different sizes/configurations. Found them on eBay for 220 for 2 brand new. Just not sure if these are the same
Did you upgrade the cold air intake as well or is it stocked?
I love my SLP 1 on my charger love the drone
Did you ever test the sound without the resonators deleted? If so how does it sound?
so did you just get the muffler install and how much did it cost you
THIS is how these videos should be made. You've done a service to many looking to replace the almost-apologetic-sounding factory exhaust.
Any 1 know the inlet n outlet location?
joe one question. i also have a 2015 rt charger and i would like to buy these pro 6000..but i wanted to know which ones exactly did you get? are they just mufflers or is it like a whole catback system? help me out bro
Perfect thank you did you deleted anything
We’re resonators removed? Sounds great!
Resonators still intact?
Perfect spot !
Did you also remove the resonators? I like the sound of the 50s, and I really don't want it too much louder than stock for a daily driver. Kind of just want it to sound like what a "factory performance" exhaust would sound like.... just a little throatier and slightly louder than stock, but nothing that will annoy the neighbors.
That sounds great. 50 series Flowmaster mufflers were definitely the wrong series. 40 series, super 44s, or super 10s would have done the job. What you have now sounds awesome!
Joe have a 2015 dodge challenger rt just can't get it right.
Did you just swap the mufflers ? Or did you get rid of resonators ? And how much were these ?
Ahhhhh Hawaii! I was in Kauai for my honeymoon back in 2001. What a blast I had
hey Joe question for you. Did you consider getting the ScatPack or did you want the Road and Track from the beginning? I am trying to decide.
+Michael Riccio My only requirement when I went to the dealer was a V8. The ScatPack was a bit out of my budget and the RT has plenty of power. I have no regrets not getting the SP.
Sounds great. Wish I could get this sound out of my ram1500.
Hi joe first nice car men i like all the details on it..i have a 2015 R/T myself had it close to two year. this one is billet silver i have plan but this will be slow process i only have k/n intake smoke rear lights rear roof spoiler and calipers covers.now about two months i started notice a little rumble in the transmission specially after i remove my foot front the gas then after i hit the gas it filled i not losing power or anything some people said that is normal because is 8 speed anyway i thought my self ok this is normal but i will take it to the dealer just for precaution...anyway joe how yours sounds...thanks man
u got your car from cutter pc?
Hey buddy, did you delete your mid mufflers and or resonators? We have the same exhaust but with the mid mufflers still installed. Thanks
I like the sound of those 50 flowmasters. I assume you had them installed with the stock exhaust tubing?
Dino D The 50's kept the stock tubing. The SpinTechs have 2.5" out to the trunk.
How much did that change run you? I have a RT charger a shame Chrysler put such crappy exhausts on this car
How much did this affect your gas mileage
I like your video so much..I might ask you some questions later
Hey joe love the job that you been doing in your car i been follow your progress and wow...i have a 5.7 myself on silver billet and i just start making some improve modifications. but i got two questions i just got a hellcat spoiler and boy why dodge have to make 4 holes in the wing tip. did you used those plugs that other guys used....and final questions did you have reso delete..thanks
I used some small plastic plugs from Lowes along with some silicone to waterproof the holes. Yes the reso is gone.
Thanks
how does it feel like a new car??
Is the X-pipe or H-pipe here?
I just got my resonators deleted on my 16' R/T and it sounds way better but I can't decide if I want it louder! 😂 I know I don't want it to be on obnoxious, but I don't know what I would get! The second set of mufflers sounds SO good!
hey brother are you located in Hawaii that pro street is sweet
great video can you tell me how bad the drone is please I'm stuck between Delta 40s slp LM or your setup which sounds awesome
+TheZayah76 There is some but I only notice it when I leave my apartment in the morning. Once i get above 1500 rpm or the engine warms up, I don't notice any.
How would you rate the level of deepness in this setup? Is the camera pretty accurate or is it deeper in person? Thinking about pro street 6000 but my exhaust is 3" so that alone will change the tone also I have longtube headers w/o cats. Heard a challenger on here with 3" pro streets on his rt sounded deep until high revs. I don't mind loud I just don't want that straight pipe sound.
+dejuan71 I'd say it's slightly deeper in person. It's fairly mellow at idle but you know it's there when you get on it. It has this awesome grumble like sound that I can't really describe.
I like both
Would you mind posting where on the car the mufflers were placed? How is the car when cruising do you need any extra radio volume or does it drone much? I had these on my challenger but it was a manual so I'm a little worried about drone.
+krisandkristi75 The mufflers are in the middle of the car and the 2 resonators at the rear just before the tips were removed. The only drone I get is at cold start and it's very mild. I can faintly hear it when I'm cruising. I keep the volume between 5-10 out of 40 and have no problem hearing it. I'm yet to find any really annoying drone anywhere in the RPM range.
When you had the 50 series flowmasters on the car did you still have the resonators? Trying to decide on exhaust for my 15 charger r/t. Yhanks
Dino D No. I had the resonators deleted with both systems. The way I would describe the 50s is they would be perfect for a guy with a family that doesn't want to piss off the wife whenever they take the Charger somewhere because it's to loud. Me on the other hand, single, no kids, fancy muscle car... I want her loud.
It all depends on your situation.
i watched your old truck video with the 50 series flowmasters on it. 50 series sounded way better on the truck. wonder why that is? seemed to be deeper and more aggressive on the truck and too mild on the charger
+Dino D That's why I initially went with them. I loved them on the truck. I think the main difference is the truck only had one muffler while the charger has 2. I didn't think it would cut the sound as much as it did.
very nice looking car!
Thanks
Makakilo👌🏻 I used to drink in the parking lot when I was a teenager lol
do you have 2.5 inlet and 2.5 outlet ?? thank you
could you rate the sound on both from a 1-10 please
flowmaster and pro street 6000
+Geo Marino I think just outlet.
I'll let you rate it and decide what is better.
Hey Joe! After you exchanged your mufflers out with the Spinach pro street 6000's, and you deleted the resonators, did you extend your pipes coming from the mufflers to the same length as if the resonators Was still their or did you stop the pipes at the beginning of the delete of the resonators?
At that time chances are that he left the resonators on the very back of his car since he don't like drone.
hello, I was put on by a friend about the spintech mufflers, hearing them on your car sounds awesome...! just wanted to know if you deleted your rear resonators? just wondering if doing so will create a droning issue, thanks for the info in advance
+James Hutch Yup. Only thing under there is the 2 SpinTech mufflers. I don't have any drone either.
Thanks for the info Joe, really been helpful...i am looking for a better sound because its just too quiet...i think I'll go this route as to hold me over till i do the kooks longtubes and corsa xtreme catback, thanks again you've been great.
I have glasspacks in my cammed hemi I love it but I recently moved to the city for college and my neighbors in my apartment complain I think 50s are for me
I also have a 2015 charger RT, and want a deeper sound than what came stock. When you made this modification to ur exhaust, did you leave ur resonators on there and just replace the mufflers?
+F. Viscarra No. I removed the resonators completely.
+Joe Coach Cuz the mufflers im buying are comparable to flow masters series 10. And Im afraid that they might be to loud without the resonators. Any suggestions?
F. Viscarra just remove the mufflers and resonators mine sounds like a beast
sounds like a monster!
***** Thanks. I'm super happy with how it turned out.
Out of curiosity, were the starting mufflers 50 Series Delta Flows, or Super 50s? I'm looking for a sound like that without too much noise since I live in an apartment. Thanks.
I want to say delta flow but I'm not 100%.
Had to be delta flows super 50s too big to fit underneath I believe.
Sounds great! Should have went went the 9000 series
So you just have the Spintech Pro Street 6000 and deleted the resonators? What outlet size do you have?
Matt Corbi Yup. The pipe from the mufflers to the trunk is 2.5".
+Joe Coach I just got these for my 2015 R/T. I got 2.5" inlet and 2.5" outlet, both center of muffler. Taking to the shop to get installed on Wednesday.
can you tell me the steps to make my stock charger sound like yours
+Ahmed A
Step 1: Have a V8.
Step 2: Take car to shop.
Step 3: Tell shop you want Spintech 6000's put on.
Step 4: Wait for shop to finish work.
Step 5: Pay shop.
Step 6: Write a smart ass reply to a comment ;)
+Joe Coach 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 why you do em dirty like that?
+EAsports93 He wanted the steps lol.
Did you do a cat back system? I heard that won't void the warranty.
+mrmckenzie928 Just a muffler swap and resonator delete. The only way they can void your warranty is if it can be proven that the mod was directly responsible for the issue. I've taken mine back to the dealer for a couple services and they had no problems working on it.
+Joe Coach cool good deal. I was looking at the link you posted and seen at the different types what was the exact part number you ordered?
Did you just do the mufflers or did you have other exhaust work done as well?
I also removed the resonators
It sounds beautiful. I have an 06 R/T I'm looking at getting a full exhaust upgrade on
The 50 series flows sound good standing behind it. Of course inside the vehicle is a whole different story
+Dino D Yea. Since I don't get to experience it from the back that often, I wanted it loud on the inside.
where did you get your mufflers from and model number I'm looking to add more sound ...nice vid btw
I got them from a local shop. The part number depends on the in/out configuration.
+Joe Coach ok thanks..I have the same year and model
Joe Coach, definitely looking for something that won't piss off the girlfriend when she rides in it. I had a mustang with roush mufflers and x pipe prior to this vehicle and I'll admit it was overkill on tone sometimes.
Was considering the force II system for the charger since it uses resonators, but with super 44's.
Dino D That would be probably be perfect. I went in to the shop wanting 44s and they recommended the spintechs instead. Plus with resonators, you always have the option of cutting them out if you want it louder.
thanks alot for the information also the Muffler's are in the middle right not by the rear bumper.
+TheZayah76 Yup. I got rid of the ones by the bumper and swapped the middle ones.
+Joe Coach how many inches was the inlet and outlet?
sounds great. should have went with the Flowmaster 40 series (the original 40 series) the first time and you would have had the same sound you do now. I've got them on my 2016 challenger rt, with res delete and 4inch quad tips. sounds beastly.
blacktemplar420 you should upload some videos
I agree you should upload a vid. I have that set up on my 09 charger with cherry bombs as reso but Im planning on upgrading to 16 R/T and Im thinking on doing the same set up but with dual of course
Sounds great. I dunno man, super pro... I'd want that super pro crackle.
did you ever find out the model number? sounds awesome !
it's the spintech 6000
Any part numbers on the Spintechs? I really like them.
www.spintechmufflers.com/mufflers/street-mufflers/pro-street-6000/cat_23.html
The part number depends on what configuration you get.
Thanks man!
+Joe Coach please give me the part number of the 6000 mufflers because I found many of it ... I have the same charger and same B5 😍 if you don't maind I need the part number to order now 😈... your muffler is aluminumize or Stanlis stiall ? is there any different ?
+Joe Coach witch one do you more liked for your opinion and gives more aggressive and high sound the 6000 or 9000 ?
i did 50 b series flow with resonator delete
do they make these for a 2012 R/T? and how much are they
+ROUSH4203 The muffler is a standalone part. The cost depends on what shop you go through or if you do it yourself.
+Joe Coach I'd install it myself, where can I order them and how much are the mufflers? also is the muffler the only part you replace?
+ROUSH4203 Here's the link to the SpinTech website: www.spintechmufflers.com/mufflers/street-mufflers/pro-street-6000/cat_23.html
I don't know the exact model number since my shop ordered and installed it, but it depends on your exhaust size and pipe layout.
wonder how those would be on my 07 hemi
+John Smith I'd say pretty much the same. I don't think Chrysler changed the engine to much from then.
thanks joe
+aron shipp No problem!!
50s are mellow compared to 40/44
So all that is done to this car was having the factory mufflers replaced with the spintechs, that's all?
That and I removed the resonators at the back of the car.
Kick Ass video.
do you have a drone on eco mod?
No. Eco mode changes the sound a little bit, but it doesn't Drone.
thanks bro
How much did you pay 4 your exhaust
+aron shipp $500 out the door.
if you are in Hawaii on Oahu i would like to link up with you
I have the spintech 9000 on my Toyota Tundra and they sound way better then the super 44 series flowmasters I had on my first Tundra .
Do you think this will fit a 2016 Dodge Charger sxt?
It'll fit. Won't sound as good though.
Joe Coach how will it sound?
My co worker put the flow master 40 on his & it sounds better but not like a v8
V6 sound like shit don't even waste your money
What kind of mufflers do you suggest then?
any drone at 65 mph?
Nope. It's really quiet when I'm cruising.
Joe Coach were the spin techs within $300-500?
Just take off mufflers and resonators sounds like a beast I have 2016 CHARGER HEMI WHITE BLACK TOP edition sounds like a monster
put some 4 inch quad tips u will have a even better tone
i like the 50's.. not much rumble, and not too loud. add a bigger throttlebody, long headers, and straight pipe, with a roar peddle.. It will be louder anyway..
no done? i don't believe it
Spin tech sound great but aluminized steal no match for northeast winter
If you want a loud exhaust then go with Flowmaster super 10 series mufflers and delete the resonators.
+Jamal Methlouthi If I didn't live in an apartment complex and leave for work at 5 AM that's what would be on it lol.
I played around with exhaust on my rt for a year, got tired of it and cut everything off, left factory exhaust up to the cross over, and the rest is just pipe, when you get on ot, it's beastly, drone?yeah but it's worth it and I'm getting better mileage for some reason haha
+Suck Mydick Nice. I thought about getting cut outs but haven't done them yet.
Don't bother,I can tell you from experience you'll lose power with the straight through, get yourself a corsa system and long tube headers. That and a tune could get upwards of 30 hp and sound bad ass
+Suck Mydick That's the plan eventually. Mostly waiting for diablosport to fully crack the computers.
+Joe Coach good luck with that, last I hard they still haven't cracked the comp on my 11 awd haha
+Joe Coach good luck with that, last I hard they still haven't cracked the comp on my 11 awd haha
I've got a new Charger R/T Plus with the 5.7 liter Hemi and I want just a bit of "growl" to it. After all it's a powerful car and it's often temping to goose it a bit, but the factory exhaust is too quiet for me. Let's face it if you're going to pay for the R/T Plus and sacrifice a few MPG you probably want to hear that Hemi growl ! My Charger has about 2,500 miles on it and plenty of warranty miles left, in the fine print Chrysler states that after market (non stock) parts or modifications could void the warranty. Hmmm, I don't want to lose that warranty, so do I have to use Mopar exhaust to avoid losing that all important warranty ? We all know that going back to the dealership for parts and labor costs more than buying a system from Flowmaster, Spintech, etc. and having a trusted local shop install it . So my question is does anyone know if I have to go to the dealer and buy a Mopar system and have it installed there to avoid giving them a reason to void my warranty ?
+Buck Savage The only way they can legally void your is if it is proven that the modification directly caused the damage. Other than that, your good.
I just don't understand why car manufacturers can't install exhaust like this as stock, people who buy cars like that, I own a 2012 R/T. people who buy these cars already know what the car is and why they want it, so I'm willing to bet they'd be happy with how it should sound from factory, I love the sound
+ROUSH4203 I completely agree. You should have to pay extra to quiet it down if your not man enough, not the other way around lol.
+ROUSH4203......New cars have to meet safety, pollution and noise requirements.
I have the same car but I want your rims lol
50's sound so
Much better
I'll agree they sound good, they were just too quiet for what I wanted.
I just ordered the 50's for a 300s
Sounds like Borla Joe 👌
Joe Coach go for the original 40's
The 50s sounded like a can of rocks being rattled around
