In all my life I have never been so excited to play a video game I gotta say Miyazaki and the team at fromsoftware are killing it with each game and this looks to be the best one they've made so far .

One thing i wanna shout out is the voice actors in this trailer. They all absolutely killed it. From the casting to the actual performances, everyone involved did an amazing job. “The Radahn Festival” line gives me goosebumps.

Well , i beaten the game last 2 days ago and i wish i could go back to last week launch to experience it for the first time.

It's very interesting, they managed to take so many elements, the medieval fantasy, the cosmic horror, the Nordic touches. Without a doubt, Miyazaki and his team have unmatched talent and passion.
And radhan... his arena of combat, his design... oh my sweet lord
I love how everyone has just automatically decided that Radahn is the best. Can't wait to fight, die, fight again and eventually conquer the Conqueror of the Stars.
In the last trailer it showed that you could get his sword and it has a slam dunk explosion as it's ash of war.
Kentaro Miura and Berserk managed to do the same with so many different mythologies and medieval fantasy, philosophy and just saying im glad we were born in this time to appreciate great masterpieces like these !

It definitely invites ambition. This trailer is my favorite by far. It shows that the main character might be drawn in multiple directions in their pursuit of greatness, and seems to suggest that the player might be misled or manipulated
Especially with R.R. Martin working on it as well. His storytelling that led to Game of Thrones being created is just as amazing as Miyazaki's. I can easily see our character getting thrown for many loops and betrayals. I see a lot of adversity in front of us as players.

After putting 150 hours into this game... it is the best game I have ever played. Hands down. It's just so good, so detailed, so enourmous, so difficult, so beautiful, so rewarding. I really hope for a DLC and hope one day I get to play another open world game from this studio. Bravo.
Remember Fromsoftware promised Ray Tracing after the release, since we haven't gotten It yet I have a felling that it will come alongside the DLC.

Started with Dark Souls 2 simply cus the first game was out of stock at my GameStop, loved every second of it. Played 1 a year later and loved that 2. 3 game out and it was more amazing than both beforehand. Bloodborne was my first platinum achievement. Sekiro was the hardest and yet most polished one yet. Now here we are so many years later with another revolutionary game in this amazing franchise. Thank you Miyazaki

It's not another game in an existing franchise. Dark/Demons Souls is a franchise. The others are standalone titles. Being made by the same team doesn't make them part of a franchise. Particularly when they're as different as this game is.

Turns out to be one of the greatest games of all time
My critique is that it's a fantastic game but it is not enough of a novel/movie. That's natural, of course, and not a flaw, but it's really a shame we never got to see with our eyes what happened during the Shattering or anything else from the lore.
Please someone make a TV series based on Elden Ring lore.

Having GRRM write a story in a universe that reflects how one would learn about Tolkien’s world was somewhat refreshing; having to read and investigate to know the story rather than being shown made me feel like I was reading history.

This game looks like a celebration of all that came before, the fire esthetic from dak souls, the giant serpent looks like a Japanese mith monster from Sekiro, the black moon on the horizon and all those weird dimensions look like right out of Bloodborne, all piece together with a great cinematic feel.

Thank you FromSoft and Bandai for allowing me to play this masterpiece all the way back in November already
Coming back here after having 100% the game at 230 hours and man, Elden Ring really did in fact live up to the enormous expectation and hype it got. Hell, it may even surpassed it if i dare say. Probably my best gaming experience in a long long time.
I really can't see how Fromsoft can top this one with their future releases...
I love Fromsoftware's constant barrage of humor in their games, like the scene with the giant prawn stabbing you and the NPC saying some cheeky line about them. Perfection.

what makes you know for certain that prawn isn't the NPC talking?
Best one is Bloodborne, the item on the ground to lure you in, and then you get shot by an old guy in a wheelchair.
Then there’s a throwback moment in the same room: item on the floor, guy in chair. It’s the second time, so you go to confirm he’s dead, and he is. Good. But why is he ticking..?

The art design in this game is beyond beautiful. Haven’t been this excited for a release in a long time.

Fellow tarnished I've been searching for this track for so long, it's definitely not the final version of the Elden Ring theme...
7 months later and I still love this game
In the opening cinematic of Dark Souls you can see a priestess / cleric woman take flickers or spark from a flame from a corpse, clutching it in her hands. Right after that you can see a Darksign appear on the corpses chest, maybe symbolizing creating an undead. In this opening cinematic we see what is seemingly a corpse receive a spark into it's open palm, reviving it and starting it on it's path to "greatness." Very very reminiscent of the first Dark Souls experience I ever had (even though only realizing it's meaning later). Gives me goosebumps thinking about this game.

Man this is a huge culmination of everything before and it really shows. We got the Demon's Souls style intro and hub, the city beneath the ground with a very similar architecture to Dark Souls 2's Sunken City DLC at 0:51, the power stance, and from the looks of it we may have some rather varied more 'modern' weapons calling from Bloodborne based on the literal handcannon we see in the trailer at 1:09... There is so much to unpack here and to think the game comes out in just a few days.
This voice acting is honestly some of the best I’ve ever heard. Really hypes up the wonder and grandeur of this world. Can’t wait to play this Friday!!!

R. R. Martin feels like the hidden cog needed to turn DS from great to excellent. The first time I read “with George R. R. Martin”, I was like alright, that’s an instant buy

Dude you can play both one is an mmorpg, the other one is a single player action rpg with co-op and PvP. Different genres. I know I will play both.
I'm 36. I've experienced this "hype" kind of feeling twice in my life. The kind of hype that make you watch the gameplay video again and again and again. The first one was Ocarina Of Time, the second was Skyrim.

My first was also ocarina! I think the only one that came close to second was dark souls 2.... But it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. This game makes me a believer again.

When this trailer came out, I was scared to see it, thinking I could be spoiled. Now, I came back and watched it after having 100% completed the game, and I'm very glad that I didn't in fact watch it back then, because I would've had a lot of cool stuff spoiled to me
