    This is definitely normal. However it is abnormal for the panhandle. Hurricane season usually hits the east coast of florida and then just bounces off. Most of the hurricane hype on the news is BS lowkey. Been in florida since 2004

      What you just said is BS lowkey.
      Been in Fl since 2002 😜
      Edit: I’m mostly kidding. I get what you’re saying, but insinuating that this season hasn’t been abnormally productive or that the potentially life saving information shown on the news is “hype”, that’s a little disingenuous I think.

    • @Garherd98
      @Garherd98 Před 3 lety

      @@Dynotop1a The hurricanes are always lack luster in my area. I live near the kennedy space center and they have either died or just moved out in the ocean in our area. I havent seen a cat 3 hit our area since katrina in 04. The one that leveled key west was rough, but died as soon as it passed the keys. I really want a hurricane just to come steam rolling cause I'm so intrigued in living through it lololol but thats just me.
      Florida is very fortunate in recent years with the lack of severity from hurricanes. However whenever a hurricane has florida in it "trail" news ratings skyrocket then the hurricane tends to miss or die down.

    I've lived in Florida for 50 years, and Tim is correct. This season is unprecedented as far as the number of storms. Luckily, Florida has avoided the worst of it...so far. 2020 isn't over yet.
    btw Tim, here's the Floridian's Hurricane Scale:
    Category 1) Throw the mother of all hurricane parties
    Category 2) Invite some friends and family over and "ride it out"
    Category 3) Hunker Down
    Category 4) If you can leave, you should probably leave
