I went on a "clean products" journey about 12 years ago and I can relate so much 😅 there's nothing wrong with wanting products with less "junk", but also realizing that not ALL of the junk we wanted to go without, was THAT bad to begin with. My biggest revelation in my 20 year makeup journey? Drugstore mascara IS better than high end!

When many were enthusiastic about the Westmann Atelier eyeshadows, I had a completely different opinion, overpriced, difficult to pick up the product and poorly pigmented. Thank you Tati❤
I really wish you wouldn’t feel like you should bite the bullet on bad makeup. Yes, this is your job, your platform, but you are human. You should return things that aren’t working out. Life is too expensive to feel that way, and I’m sorry that you do. You’re amazing

Respectfully disagree about the Tarte correctors! The peach one is the only thing that helps me conceal my dark circles right now. I only use a dot! Great video Tati!
I use that Tarte contour product with a brush. You don’t have to dot it on your face. I also learned on CZcams to tear off the end spongy tip & the product clicks closed when you’re done using so you don’t have to worry about the messiness of the sponge tip. It’s easier then to apply it to a palette. I do this when I love a formula but it comes in that dot-it-on packaging.
Omg, I am not going to lie, but the baby pink Dream Mouse blush was my absolute favorite product in my 20s. I carried that thing everywhere with me and remember panning it 😊

Tati! When you were explaining your skin type, I was like “omg that’s my skin!!!” and it made me think…have you ever tried the Sephora Collection Microsmooth Multi-Tasking Baked Face Powder Foundation?? I got this and I have used it over top of foundation for a smoothing airbrushed look, but lately I have just been dabbing it on my face on top of my moisturized skin and it fills in all my pores and makes the skin look so smooth it’s incredible! I’ve recommended it to everyone I know and gifted it to my sisters lol if you haven’t tried it yet, you should! ❤

Hey Tati, Essence came out with a mouse foundation like 2 years ago or so and it's actually good! I bought it as a gimmick but it was surprisingly nice for my dry flaky skin. The shade range is also way better than the maybeline one was

I wouldn’t use it now but I wore the Dream Matte Mousse for my wedding and I constantly got compliments on it. People were shocked I did my own makeup. I don’t remember how I made it work for me but I wore it for two years anytime I would be in photos because of good it looked on me.
I wore it too and looking back at pictures, it looked fine? My brows on the other hand...😂😂

Tati, how about a list of best Cruelty Free or even Vegan products? I am trying not to use make up or cosmetic that was tested on animals. So far, I didn't manage to switch completely but I am trying.

I LOVE the Chanel lil and cheek in that shade.. I waited a whole year to buy a backup because it was out of stock… but I am cool toned as pale as pale can be. I use the lightest KVD concealer shade or Jouer’s lightest shade which is near to white with a touch of color for reference.
I think maybe that cooler red when you lie it down just didn’t agree with your color because I LOVE this stuff
I only use this and concealer now… so there isn’t really a reaction w/ this and any makeup because they don’t really touch.
Also… it’s a perfect red lip for my shade and the red leaves a ring on the lips even after it wears off.

Truth be told Tati… I made my own version of it. Mixed Avon smooth minerals with Hard Candy primer it was a silicone one from hard candy and it went on smoother than the maybelline.

I had the tinman look once and didn't realize it until I was already AT the event. It was before highlighter got really popular and I didn't understand yet that luminous meant "iridescent colorshifting white as a ghost with blue and pink reflects" and thought it was just regular setting powder not setting powder plus immortality! It was extremely fine shimmer that didn't show up in my dim apartment but flashed brightly in sunshine, flash and stage lighting...exactly the conditions at the concert. I was absolutely horrified when I saw myself in sunlight gleaming like a Twilight character.

4:38 omggg you’re bringing me back with the matte whip foundation… what a different time that was!
I really like the Shiseido blush...it took me a while to figure out the best way to use it because it's super pigmented as well as that whipped fluffiness but using a brush and then dabbing the brush on your hand first and then on your cheek does the trick, you can control it otherwise it can be uncontrollable lol. I find it unique and lasting. Then again, I love Japanese makeup.
I tried the regular nail polish with the Seche Vite UV top coat, and cured it with a good light. My nails were chipped within three days. What is your secret/method?
I don't like the dotting of bronzer either!! And the more I practice I'm realizing I'm not sure if I like cream bronzers very much at all... I went back to powder bronzer suddenly and it just was so much smoother and better looking. Idk. Interesting to think about!

It is offensive that a damn hairspray costs 35$ l mean it is at the end just a freaking hairsprayy!! What is going on with the prices of beauty products. Yes, we get it they’re luxury goods, but it shouldn’t cost as much as feeding a family of 3-4 for almost a week (home cooked food)

I too can stare at sparkles for what feels like hours haha. I don’t know why but looking at sparkly and colorful stuff makes me happy. As a kid I used to have a kaleidoscope and one of my favorite things to do was to point it at the sun and just watch the colorful sparkly shifting patterns that it created. 😅

OMG! I, too, have the crazy skin type. Now in my 50s, I'm having a terrible time finding skincare and nakeup thatbworks. Ugh. And I'm loving your hair! Did you go to a darker shade, ir something? Whatever it is, it's working for you!
That MAC lipstick is something Kiko Milano did a few years back. I have two shades & it’s GLORIOUS!! So many compliments on it. I also love that the lipstick tube is magnetic. When you go to replace the lid it clinks shut. Kiko Milano for the win-it’s also made in Italy so 😎.

The Maybelline Dream Mousse might be bad but the Essence mousse makeup that looks super similar is actually so good! I recently rediscovered it and remembered why I loved it so much!

This has always been one of my favorite video series from you. I’m so easily influenced by advertising and pretty thinks. Your explanations are so helpful
Ilia’s mascara is good. It’s natural looking, and as a contact wearer, it didn’t agitate my eyes. I like their eye shadow palettes, got both of them when I started building my eye shadow collection from scratch and relearning how to use makeup for myself. Those palettes are great jumping off points, but the blush/ highlight thing Tati talks about didn’t look appealing to me. If they were a new eyeshadow palette I would definitely try it, but cream products in that set up made me appreciative. After hearing this review I am glad I did not buy it.
Also, I use Clean at Sephora as a notification for sensitive skin products, and go from there. I check the labeled brands with other reviews, and make decisions from there based on my own requirements. If someone doesn’t feel the same, then they should be happy that I don’t want their types of products, because that means more for them.
