As a bridal MUA, I love seeing AMAZING products for a lesser price. So many people will turn up their noses to some drugstore makeup or think it's bad because it's inexpensive. But in reality different brands get their products from the same manufacturers...it's all about the branding and packaging! It's rare that I'll buy something because of the packaging because I care about performance and wearability.

Yes, many companies use the same factories. Of course so many brands are owned by the major cosmetics companies. In the past, I only bought high end when there was no lower priced dup. Now I don't need to do that with so many quality drugstore products to choose from.

The glam of buying high end is the "gotcha" marketing uses to entice you into their web. I like owning the power to be able to save money and get the same effect. Why pad their pockets unnecessarily?

I have extremely dry skin but I sweat on my face in hot summer weather if I’m running around a lot and I always use the wet n wild translucent powder! That’s the only one I’ve found so far to not super accentuate my dryness
The only thing to be aware of with the dupes is the product size. Sometimes, I actually prefer having less product and paying less, because so many things we'll never hit pan on anyways. But, when I think of my Chanel bronzer, and how I'm going on 3 years with that 1 tub of product, there is no way I'd dupe it for the tiny Elf one, because bronzer is a staple, everyday product and the $60 I spent on it, divided over 3 years, is $20/year and that's pretty decent. I do love dupes for eyeshadows. So often we just want to play with something new, but the luxury brands are too expensive for that.
I never understood the obsession with high-end makeup. I don't see any benefits except for people who might have sensitivity to certain ingredients. Drugstore, especially in the past few years, has really leveled up. Be it foundation, blush, mascara, eyeshadow, etc. Especially brow products and mascaras are used up more frequently so doesn't make sense to spend 50 dollars on a single tube of mascara that's going to dry out in three months. I have always found drugstore products to work just as well if not better than high-end. Anyways, everyone has their preferences. Love this style of video though! Keep making more drugstore content, please. Love you, Tati.

It's interesting that you mentioned putting your blush a bit lower on your cheek bcse I noticed that in your last video & I was like -- why is she putting her blush so low?? I personally like the blush a bit higher! One, bcse I think it looks more flattering on anybody really & two bcse then it looks like your blush is your contour. Just my opinion obviously - lol! And I know we are all going to do what we feel looks best on ourselves in the end!! Great video Tati - really appreciate the research into finding us dupes for higher end products - it's always so interesting to see!!

I love these videos with budget friendly dupes! I work with children. Honestly, it is not practical to glam it up daily; and I don't have the budget for that! That being said, I do want to look put together! As a viewer from waaaaay back, you have always been a good resource for me!

The YSL All Hours used to be one of my favorites! I only stopped using it because it's a little more high coverage than I want for everyday...and can't justify that price. If I had a special event or some time of professional photo shoot (as if!), I would get a sample ;)

Honestly, the only product I think there is a noticeable visual difference in quality is the foundation! This is so great for seeing where to splurge vs save and be able to truly enjoy the one high end product
Several years ago you did a dupes video and recommended a wet n wild powder bronzer and I tried it and it’s without a doubt my favourite of all time. I try others but always go back to it. So thank you for the money saving advice 💕
I’ve tried a few lip pencils and Nyx is my favourite. I have natural but found that nude beige is perfect for my small lips to create a natural contour xx

TATI! Usually the other end of the liners that you roll up have a built in sharpener -- check if the end of the liner has a tab that you can remove and there is a small sharpener to work with the texture of the liner! Great vid xx

Hi Tati!! I love your dupes and reviews videos, they are very helpful for people like me that don’t live in the USA and have to deal with currency exchange. In my case it makes things 5 times more expensive so, this drugstore products are great for our budget.
You should even make a video of must have drugstore products for international costumers, since we can’t really try or see the things once we get them in to our countries.
