I definitely agree with you on your assessments. They definitely didn't give the respect due to both series. The animation was sub-par, and the skill and technique that you usually see in each respective series was just dumbed down. They paid lip-service to their move sets and abilities, but it felt like a checklist of things they had to add to make the show. This totally deserved a series with proper character animation and overall animation. I guess I'll go back and just watch Kengan Ashura from the beginning again to get my fighting show fix with these characters.
