    The only modification you had to do to the 140 alternator was buy the electrical adapter and a belt.

    • @Projekt1
      @Projekt1  Před rokem +1

      The belt fitted on mine

      @@Projekt1 I've heard of people using the original belt that wasn't made for 140 amp alternator, but they usually say the pulleys end up burning up.

      With the L connected, the light shouldn’t lit if its charging.

    That second battery install is cool. I assume it's a custom job you did?

    did you have any issues with the alt running since removing the rear bracket? they do have a different style you can get from the junkyard or GM but i heard it wasnt needed from reading different forums

      So I ran into a problem. My stock alternator harness only has 1 wire going to the harness itself and the aftermarket harness I ordered has 4 wires to it. Did I order the wrong harness?

    • @Projekt1
      @Projekt1  Před rokem +1

      @@fallenone6 if it plugs to your new alternator, you ordered the right one, u will just use 1 of them , the (L)

  • @SilverBulletStreaming
    @SilverBulletStreaming Před 2 lety

    what slot does the old wire hook up to the new harness. is it the same pin spot on both? i didnt get one from a junkyard and the new harness has 4 wires coming off it and i know i only need to hook it to one of them.

    • @Projekt1
      @Projekt1  Před 2 lety

      Connect the pin with an “L” label

    • @SilverBulletStreaming
      @SilverBulletStreaming Před 2 lety

      @@Projekt1 I don't quite understand. If plugged in the old harness has 4 pins amd the wire in is pin number 2 if you count down from the top. It the only wire. The aftermarket plug i got to match the new alt has 4 wires coming out the back since its universal one. Which pin do I solder the old wire to the new harness. Pin Spot 1 2 3 or 4 if you count down from the top. Yours was direct fit with only 1 wire on both sides you just had to connect them. I got to figure out which pin to connect to.

    • @SilverBulletStreaming
      @SilverBulletStreaming Před 2 lety

      Do you mean connect the wire to the pin with the "L" shape on the end. The other 3 pins and straight.
