This video shows perfectly the reason why vidding is such a fascinating means of creating art. Did I say "art," to those "experts" at the back who think it's just a trash hobby and stealing from the corporations? I mean *fucking art.*
Lately there has been a sea of videos which were pretty much the same, give or take some details. For me, someone who primarily takes inspiration for vidding from watching other videos, it has been an issue because... there was little to no inspiration to draw from. I'm not throwing accusations at anyone, we're all entitled to vid whatever we want and however we want, but I'm saying how I feel now. There was something missing for me.
But... it's videos like these that make me go "damn." It's videos like these that make me think how wonderful and wonderfully talented people in this community are, and so neglected by the outside world. Maybe it's for the better, because we get to have this little creative safe haven for ourselves, like our own private world we can escape into. And when we really tap into that stream of creativity and decide to not hold anything back, to let it take us to magical places, thats when videos like these are born.
It didn't hit me right away, your video. When I started it, I was ready for a video I've seen a hundred times before (again, it's not an accusation at you, just my general reflexions) - a video with great parallels, great visuals and sound editing, empty inside. But then I realised that I haven't seen _this_ video. Because _this_ video is *you.* It's your vision, it's your playground. You set the rules. This video has currents that run deep underneath the pretty surface and it touches you as you watch it. It makes you realise something, it makes you have chills with excitement and shock.
Maybe some of us can relate to this video, maybe some of us can't. It's not that hard to imagine though, a situation in which you have your perfectly set up routine but then something happens and you just _snap._ Like a twig. And it gets ugly. Maybe not bloody, like here, but ugly. Maybe not so violent, like here, but maybe, just maybe, just equally so - except in your head. Where you fight a battle against yourself to stay sane and keep going through the motions. Maybe. Maybe not. Doesn't matter.
And still, after all I said, the most insane thing about this? You make it seem so fucking easy.

Hello! I'm sorry for the late answer. I read your comment three times now and I still have a lot to process and learn from it and you. My honest opinion about the first subject that you brought: I agree with you. And I feel afraid to publish new videos, new things, different from what we watch everyday because I can be trashed for it. But your comment and several others in this video (and in another video named "sheep") definitly changed my mind. I should keep editing my personal thoughts about society. Even if somebody doesn't agree, I think everyone understood my message and created their own message too. That's my goal from now own, thanks to you.
I think that when people really admire somebody's work they want to copy because it feels good, they feel admired. We should inovate, though. Because watching the same videos over and over again is very booring. And I just realized that you might have interpreted my video in another way: watching videos with same scenes, effects and stuff is like an endless "replay button" on youtube.
Every vidder is unique and have something unique to show. That's for sure. I hope that one day we can see underneath all the vidders, beyond the storylines of the TV Shows, and within their imaginations, fears, whatever, even political thoughts. "Where you fight a battle against yourself to stay sane and keep going through the motions." Thats my everyday crisis! I have to say.. Your entire text...
I must confess that I cried every time I read it. You left me something so special and I can't never repay you. Your words are beautiful. Your analysis was so deep and it really got under my skin. You gave me the most priceless and perfect gift of all: your thoughts. It's incredible how we don't know what people really think about things and you showed to me because of one of my editions. A vidder who edit only as a hobby, not for money, not for attention, is not easy and I thought many many times about giving up this channel. I've never shared this until now but these comments, every single one of them, keep me vidding. I read them all not because I wanna feel good about myself but because it's a special task to make someone feel something. Anything. Anger. Happiness. Sadness. Even hate.

But let me say the following: *THIS* kind of video makes me all giddy, wanting to show it to everyone who wants (and mostly doesn't want) to see it, hoping they would feel the same and *understand*. Because it is so insanely good, that even somebody who has never seen a video before will be: fuck yeah, I don't know why, but this is perfect!
I always found it hard to explain to 'non vidders' what exactly I'm doing and why I'm doing it. Because for me vidding is mostly about *feeling* it. It's the sensation you get, when something is so perfectly edited, that you get lost in another world, that you just feel "the flow", not even realizing that you dive deeper and deeper into a story, this satisfactory feeling when something just 'fits' - the music, the beat, the colors, the cut combined with a storyline that connects with your soul - the goosebumps on your arms, when the whole package seeps into your heart...
I'm not saying that I am able to capture this feelings with my videos. Because hell, I know that even how hard I try, I will never be able to create something so perfect like you did. Because it's all *you*, it's your creativity and even though you made me *feel* it while I was watching it, I could never create something similar. And that's okay. But I realized once more while watching this video, why I love vidding so much and why I continue doing it: because the sheer 'creating' and the feelings you get while doing so... that's what gets me and that's why I think everyone should keep doing so, even though when the end result isn't such a masterpiece like yours is.
I could easily say that I'm not going to create another video ever again after seeing this. Because seriously, what's the point? I might be one of the 'obvious vidders'. I might do videos that people feel like they've seen before. I might only be mediocre. But then again (and I don't know if I make any sense or can make myself understood), I *feel* it deeply in my heart. And to me that's what counts in the end. To me it's the best sensation ever if I can put my feelings into videos, into a story... combine it with pictures and music, thoughts and cuts... and then somebody else connects with it and says: I can feel it too. This is what I love so much about the 'vidding community'. That it connects people. That it makes somebody say: hey, I understand, I feel it too, you are not the only one. Be it with a insanely good video like this one, or a simple one - one that might not make everybody feel like the wheel was reinvented but still makes them feel. So thank you for creating this wonderful piece of art! Thank you for sharing it! And thanks to every other vidder out there, recognized or not: for creating for the sake of creating!

Jesus Christ. This was.. Intense doesn't do it nearly enough justice. Actually incredible editing. You took a hell of a pace with all those parallels but they all work perfectly and are amazing. And that switch is just horrific. Brilliantly done, completely original theme, and the inclusion of Black Mirror was just the cherry on top (I've got to make a video on that show when I have some time...) Keep up the great work!

Holly shit! This is incredible! God I loved the symbolism! Like we're all just fucking robots, going about our day to day life, not really in touch with any of it. Not really feeling any of it.
