Underrated season. It seems Zidane's career is looked at under magnifying glass for thing to criticize, which can't be said for some other legend...But we know to appreciate the master 👍
@@bryanleeyf87 Yes, maybe it's just a small but vocal group, but there's been criticism of him for his so called inconsistency, especially the first year at Real Madrid I think unfairly he got the blame for the team not doing so good. And people try to bring down his France 98 WC performances, while hyping up specific stats to fit whetever their story is like first Messi WC14 being hyped up as the best ever tournament and now WC 22. Then there's Serie A 99-00 season, Zidane had 1 goal 1assist in open play. Not too impressive. But if you look at video from that season he's brilliant. But today it's all about stats and who the media wants to hype. ..that's why it's great to have this channel to remember the great performances behind the stats. It's just been my experience that some legends like Zidane get a lot more criticism than others. Personally I can't think of a midfielder who had more standout performances in Euro, WC and UCL knockout stage.
