Sophia, Forrest's sister told me how she used to make him swear that he would never use, NOT ONCE...EVER, not a single time... here we are.
Whats super shitty is the tension between "not wanting to live life without him in it" on one hand and "not wanting his choices and death to obliterate any future fulfillment and happiness" My daughter didn't deserve this from her brother, i wish he could have reflected of the true consequences in human terms BEFORE he decided to use again.
He must have had good memories of using heroin to have lured him back in.
I'm surprised as he saw friends die during and after, he was very reckless to fool himself into feeling immune. Now we, the survivors have to really deal with the truth. For myself, i'm taking a year off any holiday or celebration.
