- The Marine version of the F-35, makes a slow pass over South Beach Miami, then puts on an amazing Hovering demonstration similar to what the Famous Harriers used to do back in the day.

I admire the technological advancement. A jet at pause in the skies, then flies off like a car on a signal. Technology at its best. Those pilots are brilliant, and so do their instructors.

Every year at the Ft. Lauderdale Air Show. One of my favourite days of the year. Prefer the Blue Angels to the Thunderbirds though.
I was grown up near by a german army airport. It was beautiful because the pilots often waggles with their wings to greet me as I was playing in front of our house. ✈️ Until now I love the noise of flying jets. Strong power. ❤
Seeing that live would be one of the greatest, most impressive things I’ve ever seen. It would be right up there when I saw an SR-71 Blackbird do a fly-by and go into a max climb.

That was absolutely nuts! He was just hovering over top of the crowd spraying water. I didn't even know that jets were able to sit in the air like that.

What about the Navy? I'm thinking you aren't really in the service. And by the way the Italian and U.K. Air Force are the only ones that use the F35-B. Ever heard of Google? It seems that you would know the entity supplying air support if you actually were on the ground. You probably shouldn't make these types of statements around real soldiers.

My dad would fly his RF-4 plane over our neighborhood and house really low and slow while we would stand in the yard and wave at him and it was really loud and would shake up all the neighbors homes and they always knew it was my dad. He never got in trouble for it.

As a former Phantom & Viper tech, I'm not a fan of thrust vectoring from a mechanical perspective. But, as the saying goes, "The ends justify the means." That is some top shelf technology. If someone wasn't aware of the Lightning II's flight characteristics, capabilities and technologies, one might believe it to be some alien UFO. But what's even more amazing about the F-35 is the avionics and its ability to command and control various missions.

I was an engineer on the British harrier jump jet back in the 1980s, which the F35 was based on. What an amazing aircraft it was in its day.

The sheer power from that engine , its lifting the water spray a least 30-40 feet . Plus the hovering sequence is fully automated no interaction from the pilot if necessary.😁

That is what this country NEEDS RIGHT NOW!!!! MY GRATITUDE TO THE PIĹOT and/or PILOTS FOR DOING THAT!!! My husband and I lived in Virginia Beach in the early 1980s.....he was a hotel manager, and he was provided with an apartment for employment. It was on the main street... Atlantic Ave. When the Navy fleets would return from 6 or 12 month cruises.....the jets (at that time, it was the F-14 TOM-CAT THAT RULED THE AIR!!!!!!!!!!!) would fly over the oceanfront where all the hotels/motels were. BEAUTIFUL SIGHT!!! Seeing this brought back VERY GOOD MEMORIES!! I LOVE OUR ARMED FORCES!!!

In the UK in the 70's, 80's and 90's we had a plane that was called the harrier jump jet. It could do and would do those excate same managers during air shows. It was amazing to see ❤ not sure if this plane is a harrier or a "relative" of it.

If you've ever seen one of these go by especially if it is high speed pass it is truly awesome I was way out in the ocean in my boat fishing one day and it look like two f-15s come over at about 300 ft and they were going about 500 knots and it rocks it was awesome I'll never forget it

Saw something similar to this 15 years ago at Biggin hill air show England with the Royal air force Harrier jump jet.
Which was developed in 1966.
I have been at sporting advents and have seen fly overs, but to see a jet hover like that would be amazing.

We live on a mountain on the East Coast of Australia and have F18's flying over occasionally. Just awsome. My son loves it and always looks forward to seeing them and wants to be a pilot. So its definitely a good thing so this pilot was promoting and should not get in trouble 🙏
