  • In this video I’ll be unboxing the latest and greatest Schuberth modular helmet, the C5! I also have one of the SC2 communication systems (based on the SENA 50S) to take a quick look at, so we’ll be turning that box inside out too.
The Schuberth C5 is the long awaited successor in the legendary C-series. A new top-of-the-line modular helmet with all sorts of modern functions and specifications. The helmet has an improved aerodynamic shell and it goes back to the core design of the successful C3 Pro helmet. Compared to the C4 this helmet appears to have gotten more compact, which raises the level of wearing comfort.
The Schuberth SC2 Bluetooth communication system features the MESH 2.0 network system. This MESH system allows you to connect with max. 24 riders in a group mesh intercom conversation, and with an unlimited amount of riders in an open mesh intercom conversation!

Does the sc2 have any difference in features with the Sena 50s?

Curious if the SC2 will operate while charging like Sena's stand alone units (50s, 20s) or if it powers off while charging like previous generation integrated units (SC1, SC10U)?

I tried the C5 but XL is a bit too large and L too small…. Then I bought a C4 pro very good helmet but the chin strap is digging into my Adam’s apple … i will take it back to the shop. Sad because I really like what they do.

Again with proprietary premounted sena hardware that only ups the price. What a waste if you throw the speakers out and you're left with unnecessary empty covers around the helmet. I'll stick with my c3 pro unless they make a c5 without the covers and sena hardware.
