    I have one of the middle buster plows, and love it so much. Mine isn't that brand, but it is so nice to have around your farm to use before you use the other turning plow, and tiller to break up the soil, and break it down where it is usable for planting crops.

      It's getting there year by year. This Garden has lots of Clay Soil and becomes extremely hard if you don't plow it every year and the RhinoAG LP1 Plow is helping us turn in organic matter to make it better every year. Thanks for Watching and Thanks for the Comments.

    I was thinking of buying a 2-bottom plow, but based on this result and the cost, I think I'd rather have one of these. I already have a disc, so I think that'd be a pretty good combo to get the garden ready. Running a 1941 Ford 9N. Thanks for the video!

    Wonder if a moldboard plow would do a better job than the potato plow. Would do a better job of turning under mulch. Most kids don't know much about moldboard plows. Looks like a cool tool for draining fields and plowing taters and water diversion, though. Better have one. Bet there's other uses too.

    • @VahrenbergImplement

      Moldboard Plows turn the Material under too. Normally they are Higher Priced and that is one of the Features of Layoff Plow is costs plus the other available uses. We have personally used to create drainage ditches to reroute water flow. Layoff Plow is a Multiuse Tool where as the Moldboard Plow is more a single use tool

    Quick question about the sub soiler and this plow. Is the chisel and plow head interchangeable between implements? So if I know I have quite a few roots I need to run the sub soiler first then can I take off the chisel and just purchase the single plow head and put on the sub soiler? Thanks

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 3 lety

      Roots? Tillage equipment is not designed to cut roots. Now small ones yes but big tree roots you need to address them with dedicated root ripper. The LP1 Plow can be interchanged between moldboard and a chisel point for different tillage application styles.

      Since this is just a single bottom layoff plow and rated up to 45 HP. I would recommend a larger implement like Moldboard Plow or AP Plow that come in larger coverage areas.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 5 lety +4

      Works great on a GC Series and does have enough lift height. We have sold several for the GC Series and actually why we started stocking them was for Sub-Compact Tractor Owners. Inexpensive Tillage Tool they can get started working the ground and afford with purchase of their new tractor. Now we have customers telling us all the things they use them for and they simply love what it can do.

      We had customer just get one to open trench to bury his gutter drain tiles and get them underground. Potato Plow is another use. I had customers remove the moldboard and replace with 2" Chisel Point and use for subsoiler. There are lots of uses from cleaning ditches, plowing gardens or food plots and much much more. Handy tool and we sell many each year.

      To Turn Under all the Garden. The Width of the Layoff Plow Moldboard Matches the Wheel Tracks. We personally use the LP1 on our Garden every fall to turn under the material and break up the soil. Winter Freezing and Thawing will break up the soil and man is it mellow by spring time when we use the tiller and then plant.

    Always plow in forward only; Never back up over your field that's freshly plowed. It defeats the purpose.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 3 lety

      The reason was to plow everything. The single bottom LP plow is not wide enough to take out the tire tracks so overlapping allows all the ground to be plowed. Works great on our personal garden and has really improved the loosen of the soil...lots of clay in that ground.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 6 lety +1

      Per our conversation you stated you hit an underground obstructions (Tree Root); and the bolts that hold the moldboard sheared. One of the design features of tillage devices is shear point to protect your Tractor and the Implement when accidents happen. Accidents are not a manufacturers defect of the material or workmanship that is covered by Warranty Terms & Conditions. Since you had used the product and had an accident we can not resale as a new product. Isn't it correct you were offered a deal to trade in on One Bottom Plow? I guess we don't understand "Terrible Customer Support" when we offered to trade back and try to help when you had an accident. No Manufacture Covers Accidents as Warranty. That is why Owners & Operators Purchase Insurance. But the cost of 2 Plow bolts would be much cheaper than submitting and insurance claim. Sorry for your dissatisfaction. Please tell us what we did wrong???

    • @erikmalesido558
      @erikmalesido558 Před 6 lety +1

      The bolts used are the wrong size for the plow head. The carriage or plow bolts don't fit the square. It is a poor design and won't stay tight. I had to tighten it several times prior to the bolts shearing. If you work the soil you will hit some roots. If the manufacturer had built it with proper sized bolts this wouldn't be a problem. I paid more for this unit because it looked heavy duty, I won't buy another.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 6 lety +1

      We have sold many of these and personally own one to plow our garden and we have not had any problems with any of the other units. If it was design flaw it would have show up on all the others sold. It's not a root plow and was not designed to be a root plow. It's designed to plow soil. The offer is still open we will trade it back in for the Plow but that is not designed to plow roots either.

    • @edsmith4414
      @edsmith4414 Před 6 lety +3

      Things are built pretty stout. If you manged to break one on a root, you need a subsoiler, not a plow.

    • @1982MCI
      @1982MCI Před 6 lety +7

      Vahrenberg Implement sounds like someone needs to understand engineering and how things are designed to break at certain spots so you only have to replace a .50 cent bolt instead of bending structural steel frame and totaling a nice implement. If the bolts were bigger and grade 8 then it may as well just be welded and then he would be crying about that.
      Sometimes it’s better to just send somebody to tractor supply so when he’s done using it he can take it back and complain about some B.S. made up problem and get his money back.
      At least you scored some respect from me and with a response to a customer like that that knowingly mucked up a piece of equipment by misuse and your willing to trade to try and make him happy, that tells me a lot about your ethics and customer service, bravo buddy, you lost one customer but gained one here to replace him.
      Take care and thank you for the video!!!!

      Ваш агрегат не функционален и не нужен. Это не плуг - плуг должен переворачивать пласт земли. Это не окучник (не холм, а агрегат для наваливания земли на ряд, например, картофеля, с обеих сторон) значит их должна быть пара (2 штуки). Вашим агрегатом можно только проковырять борозду для посадки картофеля - так для этого картофелесажалки существуют.

    • @VahrenbergImplement
      @VahrenbergImplement  Před 6 lety +1

      Translate "Your unit is not functional and is not needed. This is not a plow - the plow must turn the earth's layer. This is not a hillter (not a hill, but an aggregate for piling up soil on a row, for example, potatoes, on both sides) means they must be a pair (2 pieces). With your machine, you can only dig a furrow to plant potatoes - so there are potato planers."
      It worked very good in my garden to turn the soil. It's not a traditional plow but does work and we have sold many to other customers to turn under material. It's a multi use tool and economical alternative to a plow that can only do one job. Thanks for watching.
