1) The "Fat Angry lesbian" in the meat plant (Rosengurtle Baumgartener) has a tattoo on her throat that say "Untouched by man."
2) During the bar scene thee is a man in coveralls. That is the writer/director Troy Duffy.
3) Doc the bartender (Fuck Ass) also played Doc on the 80's Jim Hensen show Fraggle Rock.
4) David Della Rocco is played by ...David Della Rocco.
5) The guy in the leisure suit with the mullet? That is Porn legend Ron Jeremy
6) The Russian mob boss, Yuri? Yeah that's not a topee. That is his real hair.
7) Just before shooting the movie, the writer broke up with his girlfriend... he hated her cat... the scene with Rocco shooting the cat was for her.
8) When this movie was screened in a Japanese outdoor theater, the passed our stripper's breast set the world record for the largest breast ever projected onto a screen.
9) The cops in the coffee shop scene was the first scene filmed in making the movie. Yet they had such great chemistry Willum DeFoe felt comfortable just ad lib slapping his fellow actor that he only met that day.
10) What does Ammonia do to blood? It literally unravels DNA.
11) Why didn't the Duke kill Smeker? Because he was in drag. His one rule is no women, no kids.
12) During the credit's scene the people being interviewed were all members of the behind the scenes crew.
Fun fact number 13: The soundtrack is completely brought by Troy Duffy's Band "The Boondock Saints" (Not so fun fact: There drummer died during the making of part two dew to a brain tumor)
14: David Della Rocco is/was actually the bartender at Duffy's favorite pub. Duffy asked him to join the crew, as he knew that Rocco once played classic theatre.
15: Most actors were either rookies, porn stars or comedians, because Duffy hadn't the money (and not the best reputation) to hire A-listers (besides Willem Dafoe)
16: None of the 3 Family members is actually Irish or has Irish roots. In fact, Billy Connolly (Il Duce) is actually a Scotish comedian
17: Il Duce had to "smoke" the cigar during the big shootout, because he couldn't stop smiling and grining through the whole scene, so they tried to hide it with him holding the cigar between his teeths
This was too be Troy Duffy's debut movie and was set to go to theater. The Columbine school shooting happened, so the movie got pulled. They released it straight to video, but Duffy assumed that he had kids his chance. He found out that it had become an instant cult classic when people in Internet chat rooms kept asking if he had seen it.
You guys missed the best scene in the movie: the deleted scene where their Mom calls from Ireland.

The scene at the lakeside is ossington and dundas in toronto. I grew up around there have eaten there many times. Its changed its name now but still the same restaurant. Also the cleaner scene was literally filmed around the corner from my house at gladstone and queen it now a condo the house is gone. Lol i feel like i have a personal tie to this kovie because i actually watched it being filmed in several locations lol edit side note: the blonde girls gets aggressive when she likes something and the guy in the middle takes the abuse lol😅

I know that the 2nd one catches a lot of flak and hatred, but I found it very entertaining. Dolly, Duffy, and Greenly were great, plus addition of Clifton Collins Jr. was a genius move.
As few others mentioned it does go into the back story of Il Duce.
If you guys are keen on doing reviews of lesser known/underrated movies, I would suggest to boldly go where only one reactor has gone before and do Equilibrium (2002) with Christian Bale.

Still a top 5 all time favorite! U HAVE to go on here or anywhere, to find out how this got made! Only one famous actor, Willem Dafoe. Shot on a shoestring budget, sometimes on credit card money!!. Outrageous violence and funny! Part 2 is ok, not as good. They're still thinking on the final part! Willem plays maybe the most interesting character ever...an almost overtly over the top gay guy, who hates gay guys! One guy is a long time porn star and so is the girl! The Italian boss, played in some other interesting movies. I think the old bar guy really did have a speech impediment, and I think the nuns, really were nuns! The Funny Man, played an absolute fantastic believable character!
None of the Catholic churches in the city agreed to filming, because they strongly objected to the movie, it's shot in a Lutheran church! Ewan McGregor was originally offered one of the brothers roles. But went out and partied with writer producer director, troy Duffy. They got into a huge argument about the death penalty ( kinda like the end credits) Troy thought, he's too much of a pussy for this role, and cut him. I bet u Ewan regrets that- missing out on playing an all time beloved movie and character! I have movie posters of them in my house, praying, with guns in hand, reciting the prayer! Yes, he's their dad!

They literally shot this movie on a shoestring budget, first film. Literally borrowing money on people's credit cards! Don't ask me how they paid Willem Dafoe!! Became a huge cult following forever, smash hit. Part 2 took ten years, not as good. Part 3, 25 years later, is due to come out!

Yeah inwouldnt recommend ever entering a kitchen or a fabrication plant the jokes we play on each other are pretty hard. And yes still today, the rules out in the what we call regular world doesn't apply to us we follow a different set of rules.

You should turn down mic on the girls. Their shrieks blow out your eardrums. Reactions were ok, much of the movie was missing. Try Distorting audio a little to get around copyright like some other reaction channels so viewers can see much more of the movie while you react to it.
One of the best movies ever, never bothered with the sequel, because of the way the first one was made. Just no point, element of surprise gone.

Tried to watch you years ago & it just turned into the blonde touching you & putting her feet in your face. Okay 2 minutes in I see its the same a year later. Done watching. Best of luck, I tried.
If you haven't, don't bother with the sequel. Hopefully a third film will make up for the second.
I only made it to 9:47 until bro kept saying the character's line for the third time and now I'm clicking off this video because I can only tolerate people by 3 strikes if you break the third strike even if you're My friend of 3 years, your done
