When I try to start my old Tdi under conditions like yours there, the battery will go flat moments before the starter flames out! LOL. Your rig definitely needs it's glow plugs back!

Don't worry. I see many men driving these little bugs around here in Alaska. I would say I have seen a little of every type of person driving them. I have an older friend, a real cool dude, he owns a nice one with a turbo. He LOVES jetting around town in that thing. Then again, he has always been a VW bug fan and has owned many of them for decades.
I bought a TDI beetle the other day for 600. I need to know exactly what you did to this car. Just exhaust. Or did you add a chip or programmer?
So is the only thing done to this is a hood stack for the turbo or is it engine swapped? My buddy says its cummins swapped but I highly doubt that because it just sounds like a straight piped tdi to me.

I actually own a 2000 vw beetle tdi. I got an egr delete, straight pipe, stage 1 tune. Absolutely love the thing and I'd love to see you either lift it or put a bigger turbo on it and see what it can do

What need do is get the smyth performance ute pickup kit, add exhaust stack to the pickup bed, then get a bigger turbo, awd conversion kit, ammonia conversion kit, add a rear wing to the bed then go rally racing
